Speaking of which,i hope Mami will get a guitar with a Floyd Rose...She doesn't even use the bar of her Strat,it's a little wasted... .shy.

Yeah, tell me about it... every time I watch her perform I think to myself, "When is she gonna use the tremolo?" and sometimes I'll be screaming "please use the whammy! THE WHAMMY!!" .lol.
She may play like a pro in spite of her years, but still pretty much green when it comes to fully utilizing the guitar... she plays it straight and very much in a technical fashion most times, wouldn't you agree?

Yep,most female guitar players play the guitar like it's just a piece of wood embedded with metal,wires and has six strings on it...But still,her playing's good,i'm not complaining.Maybe we're too westernized,in terms of guitar playing,for our own good.Too much Steve Vai LOL

Alluding to your earlier point, I guess you're right...too much Western music does make us a little desensitized at times but Mami's playing is exceptional for someone who started playing guitar only when SCANDAL was formed; she has so much prodigious talent and that makes me a little jealous of her at times because I've been playing guitar sporadically for about 3 years now and she can play guitar solos .sweat.

Hmm, Kakou-chan, Rina-chan could be using Pearl Dunlop for the toms; I know she uses TAMA for her snares though

Drums...are not my area of expertise :D only know that she uses Zildjian cymbals.not sure about the others,but i think she's using Pearl?

And yeah,Mami started playing guitar only when SCANDAL started up,so that's not very long yet.However,3 years is quite a bit of time for someone to get to know the guitar.YUI graduated from her music school from a 3 year course.

Still,can't deny that she has talent.(Else Koide'll kill me Lol.Naw just kidding.She does have talent.)

Mami's guitar skills has improved greatly in 3 years! Now she can do guitar solos with ease Tomi-chi too, she moves very fluidly even with such a chunky bass and still keep in tune! I wish I could have that kind of innate talent too .shy.
YUI is amazing too, she's so talented and she writes her own songs too, who can beat that? .toj.

And you're right, Rina-chan did switch to Pearl as of late; probably she has more money now so she can splurge a little more .rich.

Pearl is a reliable brand,trusted by many drummers.That's all i know.Think they're something like the "Fender" of the drum industry.

Like they say, "Pearls are a girl's best friend" and Rina-chan likes Pearl drums so there you go...

Updated the thread.New guitar for Mami,more pics of her Strat with stickers,and some notes on Haruna's rosewood Tele and Tomomi's Fender/Squier bass used in the Shoujo S PV.

I went to a pedal shop today,Blackwood Guitars opposite Swee Lee in Bras Basah if any Singaporeans would like to know,and i saw Haruna's OCD pedal and Mami's Fulltone Mosfet.The Fulltone costs 269,and the OCD did not have a price tag,though i think it's expensive too.They have used pedals as well,so i dunno if the price of the Mosfet is for a used one or a new one.If the price is for a used one,then a new one would probably cost....300+?In Sing dollars by the way.

And i have some pics on Rina's cymbals,will post it here first until mc~ or someone else creates a drum thread or something.Sabian!Good brand.

Thanks for the info on the pedals Eugene! Dude, the price of the pedals are a little too steep my man, there's a guitar shop @ City Hall that sells the Fulltone at around 200 bucks Sing or so; it's 69 dollars than the one at Bras Basah, that shop can burn a hole in my wallet the size of the Esplanade LOL XDD
I see Rina-chan has switched her cymbals to Sabian .hmmm. I'd prefer she stuck to Zildjian but that's just me, Sabian's a pretty good brand; great for clashing and they have a slighter denser sound. Unless the pic is an old one from yesteryear, can you confirm how old the photo is Eugene?
