So I just started using Keyhole TV. Has anyone ran into any interesting programs or know the times of certain programs for where you live. I know I have a 14 hour difference in time with Japan.

right now I found a monkey fishing on NHK...

it is a good way to hear Japanese often for those learning it though.

Legal yes, it was created by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

That means it is also safe.

Well theres no guarantee that NHK will always show up on keyhole and sometimes you need a password to access it so there is a point in buying a dish besides keyhole has terrible quality. Who would want to watch it on a small screen rather then a large one.
I had the japanese tv timetable bookmarked somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

Quality maybe bad, but it is free. I wasn't expecting 1080i lol. NHK is kind of free on Dish. Certain programs are avaliable, while others of course are not. For instance I can't watch Sumo Wrestling...

Snypershot, you cant watch Sumo? I thought that aired on NHK as well, at least that what it shows on at my Grandpa's house.

Part of NHK is free, while other parts are not.

Something like Sumo would have to be paid for.

So what will happen to NHK, will the channel just go blank or become unavailable when Sumo comes on?

I have used Keyhole, but the stream is quite laggy.

I know for KBS, you can go to http://www.kbs-kyoto.co.jp/
to check the schedule.

I tried watching Don't laugh on New Years Eve, but too many people were streaming it and I could only get like 2 frames per minute and choppy sound.

At quieter times, you can get a decent enough stream, I watched this Vocaloid Show on KBS which was quite interesting!

your best bet is find a Japanese TV guide type thing (its online somewhere) ctrl F the word animax or google translate the page and search.

Do you know any way for recording what its airing?'cause sometimes, because of the diferent time zones i cant watch the programs/dramas/etc...so, i was wondering if you know anyway to record it.
And, btw, if you know any other program, better than this one. like better quality

Quality wise, no this program was made by the international (something with media) department of Japan. As for recording am pretty sure you can youtube or google something like, how do I record keyhole tv. I can tell you it requires the program to be up and your computer to be on at very least, at least that would make sense to me.
