June 10 marks one month since the physical release of Line of sight, so I've thought I'd (finally) publish my tab for it!

I say "finally" because I've actually had it ready for quite some time. But I was hoping SCANDAL would share a live video of “Line of sight”, so I could confirm or correct two parts for which I'm not too sure about the accuracy: HARU's part during the verse (what I see on the MV vs what I hear doesn't match, so I'm really confused about it lol) and MAMI's short lead bit during the second verse (measures 76 to 77 on the tab).

Other than that, I'm glad I waited for the MV before publishing this tab, because it allowed me to correct quite a few things from the first version I had made. For example, I'm thinking of which strings TOMO prefers to play for the main bass line, or the different ways RINA uses her hi-hat (punctuating with the pedal for the measure before the chorus for instance) and her snare (she plays what I call her "signature beat" during the intro, while during the verses and choruses, she plays a more standard beat, and the background effects reproduce her intro beat).

I created a few new sounds for this tab, whether it was for MAMI's parts during the verses and the solo, or the more standard overdrive sounds they use, which I never tried to reproduce before this tab. As always, I've also added a mix of my GP tab (it was by the way the first time I was making one on GP 8), mastered via Adobe Audition.

It was a really fun tab to work on, so I hope you'll also have fun learning the song with it! …And if you're a bassist, good luck for the measure 69, it takes mad skills to play that slide as clean as TOMO does. If I later notice mistakes in the tab via some future live recordings (hopefully they will surface lol), I'll make sure to update the tab~

Ah, yes I forgot to mention that! Yes indeed there's two tracks for Mami during the solo, but it's a bit more complex than the two octaves separated. The left channel has MAMI playing the solo at the lower octave, without the octave harmony effect, while the right channel has her playing the solo at the higher octave with a -1 octave harmony effect (same effect used in the opening riff of A.M.D.K.J.), while Haru's part seems to still be panned to the left, alone (hence why it's pretty buried). I didn't realise it until I listened to the song with headphones and listened to the channels separately (I just use my PC speakers most of the time).

For the last measure before each chorus (so measures 41, 93, and 133), I thought Mami was also using that effect from the solo too, but I later realised she's actually playing octaves, which blew my mind considering how precise you have to be to play that this way lol

Hi! Ah yes I did hear of Rocksmith, I didn't know you could make custom DLCs for it! It would be an honor to have one of my tabs of a SCANDAL song in the game, so you can go for it! And thanks (in advance) for the credit~. I'll just mention that since you requested this, I checked through fancams of “Line of sight” at São Paulo a few days ago to check for eventual mistakes and re-uploaded a corrected version of each file in the folder, so in case you already downloaded the tab, you might want to replace your download with the new version!

So here are the corrections, which were made based on a comparison of São Paulo fancams and the studio version, while I'm at it. They are relatively minor, but they must be done for the tab to be more faithful to what SCANDAL actually does.

• The way HARU and MAMI play the opening riff has been corrected to match their respective strumming pattern in the live version.
  
• The chord that HARU and MAMI play on measures 9, 16-17, 132, and 164 was corrected (I was probably hearing an overtone of the note that TOMO is playing).
  
• MAMI's part was corrected at measures 46, 54, 98, 106, 138, 146 (same correction each time) and 133-135 for the choruses, at measures 41, 93, and 133 for the pre-chorus (same correction), and at measures 21, 26-27, 76-77, and 78-79 for the verses (same correction for measures 26-27 and 78-79). I must admit that while it seems nearly accurate, I'm still unsure about one note for the measure 77 haha, but that's already closer to the original if not totally accurate. Still hoping for a pro recording to hear and see it more clearly!
  
• MAMI's strumming pattern was corrected for the choruses and sligthly corrected for the solo (measures 127-131).
  
• HARU's and MAMI's parts were inverted for the pre-verse 2 instrumental (measures 64-71), and the part that is now MAMI's has been corrected. Precision: MAMI uses her thumb when she plays on the fret 4 of string 6 in that part, but you don't have to do the same, of course.
  
• HARU's part was corrected at measures 62, 114 and 154, in the choruses.
  
• A missing closed hi-hat was added at measures 20, 28 and 80 for RINA's part during the verses.
