Er, hello. Somehow even after 30-something years of using the internet, I still never really know what to say in these introduction thingies.

I'm Sebastian(Seb), from the UK. I first heard a few Scandal songs 10+ years ago, but I only really started listening to them properly earlier this year when I randomly stumbled upon the video for One More Time. Now, for the last three months I've been listening to nobody else. I've had Honey, Kiss From The Darkness, Mirror and the 15th anniversary concert on loop constantly, and I've got the rest of their albums and concert DVDs on order. (Yes, I'm one of those weirdos who still buys physical media in 2022. Crazy.) I'm kicking myself for not paying more attention sooner.

I'm a huge guitar nerd/collector and occasional guitar builder, so I found this forum a month or so back while looking for more info on Mami and Haruna's rigs and I've been referring back to the information here every few days as I plan out building a combined tribute guitar. (That's if I don't just blow all my money importing their existing signature instruments first.) With the announcement of their new signature models I figured it was time I signed up.

Being a Bass player I started of with a Fender Jazz Bass like my favouite member Tomomi but I cannot afford to keep buying new ones like her

What other kind of music do you like ?

I don't know if Fender Japan operate differently, but I know Fender UK grant their sponsored/signature artists one free instrument & amp per year and a massive discount on additional instruments, so that's probably how Tomomi can afford so many! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] 
Y'know, even though I can only play guitar myself and previously totally failed to learn bass, I do keep looking at Tomomi's J-P deluxe bass and thinking it might be time I gave bass a second try... something about old dog and new tricks, though. Just keeping up with Mami's higher-octave tremolo-strumming is already giving my hands a workout they're not used to.

As for other music, I listen to almost everything other than rap and modern jazz. My music collection covers everything from pop and rock of all decades, to blues, country, soul, and metal, but there's a bit of disco, folk and classical in there as well. From all different countries, too. That's probably why I've become so addicted to Scandal; they cram four or five genres into each album. I tend to get bored with artists who only produce one sound over and over.

Yes I will listen to anything once, and if I like it more than once.

Like Tomomi I thought Bass would be easier as it only has four strings but of course there are average Bass players and great Bass players, there are plenty of bass playing videos on Youtube if you really want to give it a try, I found they helped me a lot.

People say with bass people only miss it if you take it away but some bass players are really hard not to notice.

I admire Tomomi as she can play bass and sing at the same time, I find that hard

Hi SJM, welcome to SH. I also like how Scandal keep trying out new sounds, it does not always work for them but they are brave to do it.

It's nice to know that people are getting into SCANDAL because of their most recent content. They've been trying different things, making each album/single a pleasant surprise.

Hello, Seb! 6 months late (because I saw your post on your new acquisitions).

I'm not a Brit but been in England since the 1990s. Nice to see a SCANDAL fan who is also into gear living in the same country. But alas, I've kinda been off playing music for a while (not that I'm good at it) but I'm not calling it a day yet. I'll be back. I'm a collector, too (as you can see from my online signature below).
