I was guessing 5000 total, but yeah it's probably more like 5000 easy in Japan, but I think more like 2000 for the rest of the world. Regardless, it's less than a world tour, for sure. Maybe equal to the Europe/North America leg. I hope this doesn't end up as "the year of nothing but cup noodle" for them, ha ha. Buy that merch, folks!

They'll be fine, they get free candy from their podcast!!
Seriously though, the band members will be fine. The world tour cancellation will certainly make them lose money, but they should be ok, earlier this year they got songs to be played in an anime and a drama series, that should help. And AFAIK they're pretty rich already.
I'm more worried about their staff. Hope they're ok.

The Japan stream was at around 6000-6400kb/s which is higher bitrate then regular tv here in Japan.
The overseas one was lower for whatever reason.
But yeah would be nice if it becomes a bonus bluray of some sort.

Wonder how many accounts covered more than one ticket... Besides my own I bought nine for family and friends. We'll probably never find out the attendance but let's think through some obvious things. Support costs should have been unusually low—none of those tour expenses, esp. transport and hall rentals; I bet that one hall for the event was rented at a COVID discount...
Comparison with March 29 Stayathome concert— recall that there were around 14,000 watching that one at peak. No doubt, the fact that it was free increased the audience size— but if you watch the comments flashing by at each event, they seemed to be scrolling faster this time, so doesn't that imply there were more senders??
Anyway what a great concert. Hope there's a blu-ray in our future

The overseas stream something happened and the frame rate was inferior at 26fps for some odd reason and I have a support ticket with Live From Events opened and they will get back to me. The broadcast was 1080p 30fps so it was already bluray standard already, I will mention this to Team Scandal when I get a chance.

I finally watched the show and now I can comment with my two cents.
First, off I really screwed up and forgot that August 21 in LA is not the same as in Japan, so I missed the live stream. I watched the re-broadcast in the very early morning when it became available. Maybe because I was tired or there was no crowd for them to perform to that I wasn't completely wowed by it all. I listened to it again this morning without watching it, and it plays much better for me. A few observations:

Maybe because I was tired or there was no crowd for them to perform to that I wasn't completely wowed by it all. I listened to it again this morning without watching it, and it plays much better for me. A few observations:
- Spoiler:
* "Ceramic Blue" is a good tune and worked live, but it was a weird one to start the show for me. If they wanted a new song to open up, I would have gone with one of the harder rocking singles like "Masterpiece" or "AMDKJ."
* "Kinebi" and "Neon Town Escape" were terrific as live songs, in fact "Kinebi" really sounds like a traditional Scandal tune.
* "Kagen no Tsuki" was a highlight. Glad they brought this one back.
* I read eveyone's comments prior to viewing and I was hoping for a real acoustic set. The composition change of "Departure" and "Laundry Laundry" were nice, but I really hoped to hear Mami play the "Departure" riff on an acoustic. As a guitarist myself I know this is not difficult to have done, and it would have sounded nicer. Did like seeing Tomo at least strapping on an F-hole hollowbody bass. Haven't seen that before from her.
* Tomo turning on the lamp was a nice mood touch to this set.
* Also regarding guitar, I noticed for the first time Haruna occasionally plays power chords with her forefinger and pinkie on the lower part of the neck. I realize this is due to her having such small hands, but I never noticed before.
* It's always fun to watch Tomomi dancing, particularly during "Fuzzy" and "Freedom Fighters." There's a cute, flirty thing she does with her shoulder that's quite endearing.
* "Tonight" is one of my least favorite new songs, and I was disappointed they didn't scrap the electronic drums and such for playing it live. I think it would be better with Rina drumming throughout, and if they were to drop a lot of the electronic track that plays along.
* Funny way for Tomo and Mami to modernize the "Scandal Baby" shtick with face shields. Especially like Mami playing the solo while still wearing it. It doesn't look weird on her because it's Mami.
* "Tsuki" really needs the benefit of a live audience to come alive for me, especially if they are going to play it to close out a set. It didn't have the emotional punch it should have had. I started to fall asleep at this point in my initial viewing.
* "Chiisana Honoo" was much better live than I expected it to be. I liked the song much better in this context than on the album.
* The second half of the show was much stronger than the first half. If I were to show this concert to a friend who had never seen them live before, I would start with "Fuzzy" and play to "Scandal Baby."
* Mami hit a few clams and Haruna's voice sounded strained at times, particularly in the second half, but I don't mind any of this. It just proves they actually played this show live.
* I always think it's lame when a band saves their best or most popular songs until the encore. It always seems disingenuous because it means they will have an encore. I prefer when a band plays an oddity from their catalog or a cover tune, something that surprises the crowd. That being said, I very much liked that they played the two new non-album songs as the encore, but I would have flipped the tunes and added an old classic at the end, one which they haven't played in a long time like "Taiyou Scandalous" or a hard rocker from Honey, most-specifically "Platform Syndrome". That would have made for a stronger closer. BTW, "Spice" was my favorite of the song debuts in this show.
* I like the production value and that they did it in an actual concert theater to have all the lighting and stage craft. If they ever do this again I would suggest they have 4 additional boxes on the side of the main video or at bottom that each individually features one of the girls. Let's be honest, when at an actual show most us divide our time focusing on one member at a time. Due to the technical restrictions of a stream we probably wouldn't be able to select a box to make larger in our view (like on a DVD/BD), but having an iso cam on each member could give us more of a feeling of being there.
* When they eventually can tour again and they come to the LA area, I really hope they don't play as much from KFTD, and compose a set that is more reflective of their overall career and catalog. I plan to bring newbies with me, and some of the newer songs are not good introductions to the band for a live show. My friends and girlfriend already think I'm weird for liking Scandal so much, so I don't want to them to not get why I am so excited to listen to Scandal's music and see them live.
* All in all they seemed much looser on playing the new songs that they had previously played live like "Masterpiece" and "AMDKJ." There were times throughout the show they looked like they were having a lot of fun playing together and pretending there was actually a crowd in the theater. It was funny seeing them wave to a non-present audience and hearing Haruna saying things like "Thank you" after some songs like it was a force of habit.
* Loved the mugging to the camera at the very end. Did anyone else have the urge to reach through the screen and give them a big hug of thanks?

That unfortunately was my biggest gripe with this stream. Considering, it was a paid stream, I was hoping the quality would be better. A lot of framedrops and artifacting due to low bitrate that capped out at 5000kb/s. Hence having a home video release would be awesome, the setlist was lit and I can see this easily becoming my favorite.

It's not one of the stronger songs on the album, but if done right live Tsuki has anthem potential. It would have been a perfect closing if there were audience singing tearfully along and waving their cellphones/lightsticks in the air for goosebump factor. The official lyric video playing in the background could also have been replaced with some clips of Scandal behind-the-scenes with their fans too.

I managed to talk to the two managers, I showed them the stream on my smartphone using VPN, so I explain its not a complain but just for their information, my point is they should know for future live streams and maybe eliminate the issue.
(what is annoying was I noticed the Japanese stream was available from the US over my VPN, so it wasn't region restricted, so more like eplus was unable to handle the overseas fans) Scandal uses eplus as their preferred box office in Japan, other bands using say l-ticket/lawson, they have been handling the Japan and overseas tickets on one box office system)
Told them about the pirate source I saw, they said they usually need a couple of days to look at it, one of the managers thought maybe I can report to YouTube and But I said legally it has to come from Scandal/Rooftop (only they can do a copyright claim and fans can get in trouble if you falsify the legal documents), so they will have someone to look at it, and they told me to report any future findings.
So I did ask about the overseas merch store, they said at the moment they are not sure if they will sell any other goods yet, I told them there will be a demand for those calendar posters if they can sell online, they said they will think about it and thanks. (I mentioned the calendar as I already have a dozen fans asking me about it).
These two managers I talk are cool and they usually come and speak to me anyway.
I should hopefully get an update from the tech staff at livefrom.events to see what happened, we already been bouncing around information in a couple of emails.

Four nights a week, each of the girls does a solo show, on weekends, they're Scandal. It was a beautiful concert, they sounded so good, I just bought some new high-quality headphones, and despite the covid they arrived in time for the live, that was a great plus. The song list was sensational although they left out a lot of classics, they shone with songs after 2013, that shows that they are such a great band.

And the Stream is over, the 48 hours has passed. Blu Ray is all we can hope now to legally watch the concert again.
