This is a link to a video of a nice lady making a paper "cornstalk". Please skip to the one minute mark to get instructions. It takes about a minute 20 to get to the punch line. If an audience knew ahead of time that Scandal would be performing "Standard", it would be possible for the audience to bring in the "undeployed" roll of paper, and deploy it at the appropriate time, thus amazing and delighting the band. Possibly. I know it's not as good as pizza balloons, but... Forgive me if this is an old idea.
