International PerformerMine too. In fact "Something Else" (which its on) is my favorite classic Kinks 60's record. "Misfits" and "Give The People What They Want" are the favorites from the 70's and 80's respectively.tonymiller wrote:"Waterloo Sunset" - The Kinks ( one of my favourites by them )

International PerformerEven discarding all the great Motown acts the amount of musical talent that came out of Detroit is amazing: Iggy Pop & The Stooges, MC5, Ted Nugent & The Amboy Dukes, Alice Cooper, Rare Earth, Was (Not Was), Funkadelic, Mitch Ryder, Suzie Quatro, Aretha Franklin, Bob Seger, Wilson Picket... the list seems endless. One of these days someone has to put together a comprehensive documentary on all the music that was birthed there.Sensai Steve wrote:Smokey Robinson & The Miracles- Tears Of A Clown.

On Topic:
The Pretenders - "Tradition Of Love"
(As an aside-- Haruna live in concert sometimes reminds me of Chrissy Hynde because she gets that tough "I'm going to rock your socks off" kind of look on her face and has a "no BS" kind of swagger to her as she commands the stage. She always looks so cool when performing.)

International Performer@Tony: I remember my late grandmother, I used to spend every Sunday afternoon there and she would play endless records of her favourite music, all from the 60's. The Beatles, Procol Harum, The Animals the list goes on. They're all original and they're in my loft.
@Don Dio: I can't agree more. People think it's just cars but I think it's more the music that makes it famous. A documentary must be made about this...hum...perhaps I could try to do it.
