SCANDAL completes their first Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka joint band tour; digital-only single 「Koisuru Universe」reaches ＃1 on three music distribution sites
「SCANDAL TOUR 2017 "SCANDAL's Joint Band Tour"」, SCANDAL's first joint band tour held in Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka, concluded with a performance in Osaka on 10/21.
For this joint band tour, SCANDAL chose three bands that 「play cool lives right now」 and that they respect to appear as guests.
The guest for opening day in Tokyo was UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, the guest for Aichi was local Aichi band 04 Limited Sazabys, and the guest for the final performance in Osaka was BLUE ENCOUNT.
For the performance in SCANDAL's hometown of Osaka, both bands excited the crowds with set lists that could be described as a 「killer-tune festival」.
During an MC, RINA conveyed their feelings of appreciation for their fans: 「As of today, 10/22, it's been 9 years since we had our major label debut. There were several years we couldn't play around. We never thought that the day we would be able to do joint band shows like this would come, but today it feels like can firmly shake hands with BLUE ENCOUNT as well as their fans. Joint shows aren't just about competing against each other; it's a place where you can increase your number of friends, which makes us very happy.」
HARUNA took in Shunichi Tanabe (vocals) of BLUE ENCOUNT's passionate MC and called out to the fans, 「How about we make this even better and make this the best day of your lives?」
The curtain closed on SCANDAL's first joint band tour after performing a total of 11 songs including new song 「Koisuru Universe」 that was made to be played on this joint band tour.
Addtionally, SCANDAL's first digital-only single 「Koisuru Universe」 was released on 10/22, and has reached ＃1 on many Japanese music distribution sites: ＃1 on iTunes Japan's Top Albums, ＃1 on mora's Overall New Album Ranking, and ＃1 on Recochoku's Daily Album Ranking. This day is also the same day that SCANDAL released their major label debut single 「DOLL」 and turned out to be the best way to start the 9th anniversary of their major debut.
