I have seen about three different versions of that including a live action one but not that new one yet.

Three different versions of the Kimi no na wa film? I thought the film which was written by Shinkai Makoto himself was the only version of this?

Yes maybe I am mixing it up with another anime ( I am old ! ) but a Japanese friend sent me an English version of the novel also by Shinkai and the story seemed familiar...just ignore me Happy

Hey, you're prolly not wrong if you were thinking of 5 cm per second (byosoku go shentimeru) - beautiful and poignant story. It has three incarnations - the film, a novel and a manga based on the film.

Yes there are many stories and urban legends that the Japanese people never get bored with like Hanako-san and Teki Teki, but I guess we are just the same in the west with our vampire movies and Fairy tales.

I also have 'Battle Royale' that has been a novel, a manga and a movie.

Very possibly Rina was inspired to start writing a new song. Maybe she's already sending phrases and ideas to Mami all night. She stayed up late until 3:00AM.
