Btw, since I'm new to this. I just have a question. I'm gonna record the vocals using audacity, am i just gonna video myself at the same time then send the files sepadately, like one audio track and the video while i'm singing?
Gomen ne~ really new into this xD
It all depends. Here are the pros and cons:
1. SIMULTANEOUS AUDIO/VIDEO - looks more genuine - easier to sync during the edit but, - confidence to do it in one take
2. SEPARATE AUDIO/VIDEO - you can 'cheat' by doing audio in more than one take - you can record your video outside the audio recording environment but, - your video must be in sync with your singing
So, take your pick as neither technique is wrong.
I have a couple of ideas for this video but need some additional shots to make this work. But will write later.

Either! Most people video record themselves while recording the audio, and I think only @astuffds does it separately. But whatever suits you should work, as long as the words match your lips
I think depending on the theme of the video, we might have to record in a certain way. Like for the "Love" project, we were all supposed to wear white shirts for example. But I guess that's up to Kudo? Haha

If you do try both methods, please don't delete the unused file. I like to get extras when I edit the videos.
would it be welcome if i had multiple videos but with different guitars+outfit xD
For this cover, I'd like, if possible, multiple angle shots. I've a rough idea of what the vid is like, but I'm afraid multiple guitar/outfit changes aren't part of it.
I'll drop a line in the thread again after I get back from Amsterdam. ^^

*sneezes* Lol
Anyway, just a tiny bit suggestion for tomoyachie, since I worked in video editing for the projects I was in, it would be much easier to get creative with the video (both for you and kudo) if you do record your video separately. (And of course, you might want to do it like *several times* until you get satisfied). But since it's SCANDAL BABY, I still think there's no problem at all if you want to shoot the video as you record the audio. (It's, umm, a serious song(?) anyway) But multiple videos from multiple angle would do great.
Plus every extra shots could be very useful to kudo! Extra shots are invaluable source of ideas .wow.
(PS: it's not that I *don't want* to shoot my video while I'm doing my vocal recording, it's just I *can't*, lol. The room is too dark for video shooting.)

Good luck everyone!

lol no worries 8-10-12 even more than 16 track it depend on what you need xD step by step were raising our recording quality to the next level mixing more tracks will required more time my bad for triggering this hahahaha .pinch.

I wanna cryyyyy huhu .omg. just when we're already startingggg. My laptop is not working huhu. When i turned it on last night, power light is lit up but no picture on screen. Huhu. I hate this. But i'll make a way once it's my turn to record. I'll prolly go to a friend's house and record there xD .waaa. .stars.
I think I wanna keep it simple. Well, simple-ish. Don't worry - I don't need you to record on a cliff's edge with wind in your hair or anything like that. Although if you want, please go ahead.
Record your performance in your own home eg room or whatever as per usual (see other recent SHCB covers).
And then, this is for lethaldj13 (lead guitar), neopode (bass) and tomoyachie (vocals):
- I need you to record ANOTHER video in the same environment. So this is best done after you recorded your main performance video. - this will work if the video is recording straight on, horizontally and not angled like so:
What I'd like to recreate is how MAMI and TIMO tease HARU at 2:10 when HARU starts singing "Happy endo bakari ja..."
So all you guys need to do is: 1. neopode - you turn to your right 2. lethaldj13 - you turn to your left 3. tomoyachie - you sing straight into the camera
To make this work better, lethaldj13 and neopode can do what you like eg make faces, cross your eyes etc. and tomoyachie glances nervously to the left and right during this.
The segment starts at 2:10 /Happy endo bakari ja and the guitarists should turn back to face the camera by 2:46/Bane datte chijimenakya mou nobinai koto ni.
That's all to it.
Take a look at this as a guide for when you do this turning business:
(obviously you can't lean on tomoyachie's shoulders for obvious geographical reasons)
and as usual, I'd like extra shots if you wish to contribute but keeping to the beat of the song (not spirit - as this is a breakup song lol) eg video shots of your SCANDAL collection or whatever.
AND... please send the entire performance video which include you adjusting/switching off the camera etc. And if you make a mistake - please keep and send that too. It makes for great editing. Don't worry - I will never make anyone look like fools.
Happy recording! Any questions please drop me a line.
