The official goods store only ships to local Japanese addresses, so I think from any other country you will need a forwarding service like Tenso.

HMV Japan will ship overseas, I mean it shipped to USA, but I dunno about Singapore, although I don't see why not. when you order on their site, before it's finalized, it should tell you.

@pacrimguru, NICE! mine is sitting at Tenso's Warehouse waiting to be shipped. I can't wait, but I'm waiting for my other SCANDAL, and non-SCANDAL related items to ship together back to me.

I'm getting my packages from Tenso.com consolidating and having it shipped home. Now there's an option of having it insured. I'm wondering if that is important. Does Celga provided that service, It's insured by EMS. I'm just wondering if I should have it insured or not.
Did anyone had any problems at all shipping via Celga or Tenso?

Then there is "Custom Duty." For USA, is there a Limit how much weight I keep away so they won't charge a fee or tax of some sort?

I've ordered a lot of EMS shipments and never lost one. I only bother with the insurance if the shipment is really expensive. I've also never had any duty tax charged on any of my packages, I think the limits are something like up to $200 value is duty free and then over that if they decide to charge you it's 7% or something? I'm not sure the specifics since it's never happened to me. I've definitely broken $200 in one shipment before and never been taxed, but I've not tried importing like $1000+ or anything in one box. Chances are they're not going to bother with your package.

EDIT: Is SCANDAL ZIPPO lighter still hasn't officially released yet? It's just that I ordered it OCT, 17. and it's been awfully quiet. That wouldn't really worry me, except that when I translated my email order from Kitty WebShop, it said something about confirmation. I wonder if I have to send an email to confirm the order so it'll progress and complete the order.

NVM. checked the website, will deliver Dec 2011 or Jan 2012. I still hope that I'm just worrying about that confirmation thing. don't want to wait 3 months only to had it cancelled.

Apparently the Japanese postal service prohibits sending zippos internationally, so those just got harder for us to order since forwarding services don't want to touch them... Seems if you want one either you'll need to find out if there's another way to have it shipped or somehow order it to an address in Japan and pick it up in person. (As far as I can tell zippos are allowed in carryon luggage).

Well, That sucks! So did Celga denied your zippo order?

Yeah, and I was also unable to get my credit card to be accepted for the order on the kitty shop (maybe that's just a coincidence).

I'm still talking with Celga if there's any way I can make it happen since I'll be in Japan next spring. We'll see what they say. Also another approach may be to have the forwarding company discard the zippo's insert and just forward the zippo's case. Maybe since that wouldn't be flammable in any way it could be done? I doubt the insert is Scandal branded anyways.

well, if the don't prohibit international shipping. I hope Kitty WebShop recognizes that Tenso.com is a International shipping service and would promptly cancel my order.
Kitty WebShop canceled my first order as well, I made a second order.

I just sent an email to tenso regarding the issue. they won't reply until tomorrow morning.
Zippo won't be ship until December, correct? if I have to, I'll need to cancel my order before it complete the order.

UPDATE: Tenso.com won't ship Zippo Lighters, so I sent Kitty WebShop an email to cancel my order. Turned my stomach while doing that. I would love to buy it. If anyone finds a way to ship SCANDAL Zippo lighter overseas, to USA, do tell.

nope, we're not that lucky. the sticks come in a clear plastic bag and nothing more.

If someone successfully had it shipped to USA, would you mind buying extra? I'll gladly buy it off your hands. I usually not very comfortable doing something like this, but I desparately want the SCANDAL Zippo lighter. knowing that it's a limited edition, possibly no more in the near future makes it much more valuable.

rinkya is the same as celga. you can bid on auctions through them and they will place orders with stores in japan on your behalf. they then collect your purchases and ship them to you, all for a commission a price.

there really shouldn't be a problem shipping zippos. the other services are just being overly cautious. rinkya is very easy to work with, i asked them about the lighter and they said no problem. they are native english speakers so communication with them is very easy.
