On 3/13 (Sun.) from 22:00, MTV Japan will be airing 『MTV Select 10: SCANDAL』. Ten of their favorite Western music videos selected by them will be introduced.

The ten songs selected by SCANDAL for 「MTV Select 10: SCANDAL」:

01. Against the Current - "Gravity" (HARUNA)

-Many people upload covers of their songs on video streaming sites
-People around the world are paying attention to them
-The most surprising thing for HARU is Against the Current hasn't had their major label debut in the US yet
-They've been working with Twenty One Pilots's company
-They debuted last year in Japan, their first major debut
-HARU is really looking forward to their major debut in the US

02. Tone Loc - "Wild Thing" (TOMOMI)

-TOMOMI found it on a video streaming site and thought it was really cool
-She looked into the song and found out that the song uses an uncredited sample of Van Halen's "Jamie's Cryin'" (more info)
-He quit music and started doing voice acting instead
-She doesn't know if it's true or not, but she heard rumors that it was recorded at his home since he didn't have a lot of money while recording. MAMI says, "Like, he would go into a closet or something?" She says yes, and thought it was lovely that he got over many challenges
-RINA mentions how they recorded vocals in an apartment in their indie days, and TOMO says how they basically did the same thing as Tone Loc

03. ABBA - "Dancing Queen" (MAMI)

04. Katy Perry - "Wide Awake" (RINA)

05. No Doubt - "Just a Girl" (HARUNA)

06. The Baker Brothers - "Chance and Fly" (TOMOMI)

07. Sum 41 - "In Too Deep" (MAMI)

08. Nirvana - "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (RINA)

09. The 1975 - "Love Me" (TOMOMI)

10. One Direction - "What Makes You Beautiful" (HARUNA)

For now, only one video containing the first two songs has been uploaded. ~~I'll edit in the band's comments as the videos are accordingly uploaded!~~ Unfortunately, the uploader never finished posting videos for the other songs. :/
