I hope they let themselves roar on this album! It would be great to hear some songs with the attitude of 24 Jikan,Namida yo Hikare, Koi no Gestalt Hokai,or Kimi ni Shittochu.

I agree, but those songs have a mean a really mean crunch to it. The album is supposed to be happy. So it sounds like the album will probably be like BABY ACTION. That album had a really happy tone with songs like "Glamorous You" and "Very Special." This opinion is based on the two singles that came out for this album. SUKI-SUKI changed my opinion a little bit. But hearing "Chiisana Honoo (ちいさなほのお)" and "Morning Sun," it reminded me of "One Piece" and "BURN," giving me a bias towards a BABY ACTION sounding album. That's just my opinion though .nerd.

I also have the same worries about this album possibly lacking more "rock and roll" type songs. Aside from Suki Suki, the other songs revealed so far seemed to be aimed in another direction.

Morning Sun and Chiisana Honoo are both solid, heavy rock tracks, though. They're just slower. Sisters is more of a pop track but it looks like it will be an outlier.

Personally I'm not really big into slow songs, so that might have a little to do with it also . . .

I'm no fan of happy happy sounding songs either slower songs are okay with me as long as there isn't too much of them heheh. It looks like Scandal is more on ending their albums with slower tunes this time around. Chiisana honoo is an awesome slow rock song so I'm not really complaining.

Well at least we got a heavy tune to look forward to,  I can speculate which song it is but I don't wanna spoil it until I hear for myself.

I'm also interested to know how Sunday Drive and Room no. 7 might sound like, all the other tracks I can guess but I'm still looking forward to hearing them.

I'm sure they'll try to have a good mix as always. I don't actually think any of their albums are really fundamentally different in intent, but as a band grows older, what actually comes out might change a bit despite that same intent. I think that's all that's been happening as they've progressed. But I don't think they've consciously tried to do anything all that different, except maybe the first time they decided to have a ballad on Temptation Box, which really was new for them at the time.

So I'm sure there will be a couple of slow songs, a ballad or two, a few more up-tempo rock songs, a heavy song, a straight punk song, and a pop song or two. I think what we've heard so far fits those categories.

I wouldn't worry much about the album's direction... I'm a little more curious about the actual quality of all the songs. I felt like Hello World was a little bit of a dropoff after Standard despite it *sounding* very similar, so I'm hoping Yellow gets back up there in quality. It's impossible to judge anything yet; so far I like the songs they've released but I'm not in love with them... but for all I know those could be the worst songs on the album, and it only gets better from there.

That was actually sort of the case with the songs released leading up to Standard, and the rest of the album actually made those songs better when I heard it all together.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with mid-tempo or slower stuff; Chiisana Honoo is an awesome song! I also LOVE Stamp! The guitar is crunchy and it's a great groove Timo & Rina lay down. Haruna's vocals are so confident and self-assured too.
In fact, the five songs we've heard so far for the new album each have their own sound. I'm just looking for something rawer and edgier, something to remind us that the ladies still can let it fly when they want to. Hopefully some double-bass action too!

No,  what they mean by that is the Yellow Asia tour, since they're going overseas it's was mislead to think a World Tour.  
I don't know why they said international album release since its only going on be released in Europe :/

I wish they had "samples" of the other songs on the album, I really want to hear their sound,  especially with the hint of heavy rock and punk.

Europe is outside of Japan so it's international nevertheless ;p

A SCANDAL ska song? Sounds interesting; and here's to another style ~  .smile.

Playboy Part II has ska sounds with the drums and rhythm guitar parts. It is a rock-ska hybrid. I wouldn't mind hearing another take on that genre at all.

I would go with the T-Shirt edition if you don't have a SCANDAL shirt. That's the reason I did. But If you really don't mind what the cover looks like and all, just buy the regular edition. Hope that helps you make up your mind.  .uhuh.

It did kind of seem like they could have been referring to the YELLOW live house tour, but they actually do seem to be hinting at an actual second world tour.

If you don't mind that it won't have the RE-only bonuses like the sticker, the CD cover that comes with the T-Shirt Edition will be that of the Regular Edition.

So, if you buy the T-Shirt Edition, it's basically like you're getting both editions.

Its worth mentioning that JPU if incorrect would advise the fans that they did mean the YELLOW tour, the fact that they are going around the bush and not confirming or denying anything probably means a 2nd World tour is in the works, nothings confirmed yet and we dont know how far away it is but still sounds like good news!

Am I the only one that wonders why the Europe release has more than 1 shirt size available for the t-shirt edition when the Japanese version doesn't even give us an option?

I would assume JPU Records got the design from Japan and had it produced in the UK by a third party. I also think that the European Edition won't come with a nice box or anything like that. At least, that is how I interpret:

"This set it limited to only 300 units and features the same shirt design as the Japanese T-shirt Edition of YELLOW.
The CD is the same as the regular edition of YELLOW."
