Uhm just wanna ask if it is possible to put a like button here? or like a thanks button. if a user like a certain post or thread itself?

then there would also be a counter that would register the number of like/thanks

It is because the Reputation points here cannot be reset or edited. So if a certain member here abuses it to the max, it would be extremely hard to fix what he did.

And what's more worst is that abuser cannot be detected.

So it still lacks many things, but I think something better will come in the future updates. So let's just hope for it.

in other forums once a user click the like/thanks button there would be a space under the topic which record who are the user the liked the topic.

then after a user clicked this like/thank button it will disappear on their account. like a poll question.(hope you get what i mean here)

I've seen a similar system on pinoyunderground forums. you can't download or watch or whatever is/are the things the thread starter shared unless you click the "thank you" button. well I find it a bit err.. how do you say it. but still gives credit for the one who shared.

@hessler i think user can hide links and stuffs behind that thank button.. i think the algorithm of that thank button is the same as Poll Questions.

Yeah I'm familiar with that, I also would like that so that members will just press the button instead of posting "Thanks" that eats up space...

But too bad, it doesn't have that here...it only has the reputation system that I have mentioned above.

And about improving, I don't think that can be done by users. How do you say this, Forumotion forums is hosted on their database, so they have their own settings and stuffs, editing or adding plug-ins or whatever can't be done.

Forumotion is free, so yeah it lacks many things that other forums has.

Like I said, this is hosted in Formotion's database, those type of modifications can't be added.

I don't think the thanks button will be necessary since only topic starters can press it.
