Thank you for your feedback. I see your point. I will get new tickets and I saw already some which I really like but for more than a reasonable price. The problem is I don’t know my budget right now because I am expecting a bigger gain with stocks end of November. But you never know with the stock exchange and setting a fixed limit for SCANDAL tickets is a must otherwise it will be too costly :D

No worries, only my personal opinion anyway. I am more of a "I wanna see the band not a screen" kind of person when it comes to see a band. I was successful in winning the bids (still a bit worried, in case things go pear-shaped) for centre-TOMOMI and centre-MAMI for the two nights and at worse my friend and I are in the arena 11th row of the middle A blocks. Now, for a venue that size, I am really really happy. And I didn't have to sell my right arm to win the bids for those tickets either. So, for me - it doesn't matter if better tickets are available next month or later. And I don't want to leave it too late either. I once bought tickets for Maebashi on the HELLO WORLD tour and it arrived the night before I flew off to Tokyo. Never again!!!

Yes, to the first question (although I think you'd figure that out by now looking at your later posts). But this is more obvious when you look at the buy-it-now prices if it's at Y! Auctions.

Depending on luck, if you bid instead of doing a buy-it-now (which is kind of a trap as this entices buyers who are afraid of getting outbid) you can/may get it at a cheaper price than you think (but defo more than the retail 6480 yen price per ticket).

For the Budōkan, the seating plan in general is this:



Blocks A3-A8 seems to be the best ones. For me, at least. ^^

Thanks for this.. I basically learned a lot from this experience.. Lol I bought my second ticket at Yahoo Auctions... It was A9 No. 13. I use the bid right away option... It was lower than the ones posted at ticketcamp.. Also, Bidding takes so much effort..

I am absolutely with you. I am neither a “looking at a screen” type. I thought about your words and came to the conclusion, I working and learning 7 days a week, almost 10 months in a year so don’t be greedy in Japan. I bought 2 new tickets for a reasonable price compared to the past when I had used a proxy service. They are row 5 arena and I had already good experience with row 5 at Osaka Jo-Hall.

I am wondering if there is a lower interest in this arena tour compared to 360°and Festival last year at scandal-heaven. The posts and views are much lower and there are also only a few questions about tickets. Time is running fast and soon December is near. Or does SCANDAL losing in popularity? Maybe the international fans are still satisfied from the HELLO WORLD tour.

With regards the satisfied overseas fans - possibly. Also, especially when a new album before this tour is somewhat unlikely, it is possible that there seems to be no special reason to attend this otherwise run-of-the-mill arena tour which is not their first anything (for SCANDAL, it's a case of been there done that). And don't forget that SH ain't the only overseas SCANDAL fan group around (eg SCANDAL'S Sushi) - so you may still find a big turnout of overseas fans.

The 10th anniversary live in Osaka on 8/21 seems more attractive for many fans - so that is likely to be more of a hit.

I want to go to the Budokan because of its iconic status as a concert venue. Also, I am missing Japan like crazy so it's a good excuse for a short break! ^^

Does the timing affect it - being right around the holiday season.  Also there are only 4 concerts.  Hello World was for a new album so that might affect it too.

I'm still going to have a blast, it's an excuse to see a new part of Japan for us as well as we plan to go there earlier in the day and find stuff to do before the concert.

8th and 6th row, MAMI's side. Now, in the arena section that seats like 2000+ people, that's fantastic.

I see on your ticket that it says it was bought from Ticket Pia. The only tickets with the band as the background are the ones that were ordered from the SCANDAL MANIA presale.

I've got a question on the don'ts (not so much of do's - but if you wanna talk about them, that's be great too) on attending an arena concert in Japan.

I think I've got the no photo/video rule covered but I read somewhere security's a bit stricter at larger venues? Like them taking your camera away from you (I'd be playing tourist in the day) at the Budōkan entrance or something? And what about small bag packs? These (cameras, GoPro, bag packs) were not a problem at all when I saw smaller shows (livehouse/hall gigs) - not that I was taking photos during the show ^^.

Would appreciate some info please.

I went to SCANDAL's first Budokan live and Wonderful Tonight at Osaka-Jo and neither times did they check anyone's bags, nor did they care about what kind of bags people brought with them. I had a rather large camera with me both times and I was able to bring it in with no problem. They simply have signs inside the main floor saying that any sort of photography is prohibited during the performance.

They were fine with this at Budokan (you can see them on the DVD, even), but the only things that Osaka-Jo wouldn't allow in were the giant mascot CANTA and Doraemon heads that my boyfriend and friend had, haha. The staff claimed they would get in the way of the audience, even though we told them they wouldn't be worn and would remain on the ground in front of them. Those were taken by the staff and held elsewhere until the end of the live.

Just one more question - this time about the merch stand for larger venues like this - they'd be outside the venue, I presume? Don't really fancy queuing for it from 7am in the January cold lol... I am kinda hoping there'd be less people with it being mid-week (luckily seijin no hi is the day before!) but that'll be too optimistic hehe.

Yes, it'll be outside of the venue. Last time the stand was to the left of the main entrance to Budokan, and when the line got long they started having people snaking up the stairs to the second floor. Here's a picture I had taken of the line.

Goods for the arena tour are now up for viewing here! Although, as usual, the site keeps crashing due to too much traffic. There are a total of 42 brand new items. Each city (Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo) will also have its own individual designs for t-shirts, towels, and keychains.

The goods will be available to purchase on Kitty Enter Shop starting from 12/1 12:00 am JST, except the Kobe/Nagoya/Tokyo-branded goods--those will only be available at each respective venue. No word on whether or not the goods will be up on the international store yet, but if they will they probably won't be made available there until after the tour ends.
