strat =P

les pauls are super heavy n they hav super thick neck! u can try out ibanez s series, they hav really nice slim body n neck.. it's on my wanted list lol...

well, like everyone say, it actually depends on wat type of music u play.

if u wan japanese made fender, can try out www.ishibashi.co.jp
i dunno if they ship new stocks tho..

Fender american > Fender japan > Fender mexican > squier indonesia > squier china

also to add. strats have a lower action than les pauls. I tried lowering mine and adjusted the intonation but it's nowhere near a strat's. so If you play a lot of solos strat would be ideal. but it's just a matter of getting used to.

you definately have to try out the guitar and see which one you like better and which one feels better to you, you can't really decide, or shouldn't, without actually trying it, i tried both and les paul just didn't feel the same as a strat, so i went with the strat and haven't looked back

but definately try it out for yourself before you buy it =)

But now I know it's heavy, so it's not good enough for me. Hehehe~ I don't like heavy stuff.
I want to move around a lot (as in SCANDAL Nanka Buttobase a lot) if I could play with a guitar.
