As the topic title, I am wondering what kind of headphones do you use for listening to music? I'm looking to try and upgrade my existing Apple headphones for something with a bit more better clear sound.

Thought I post here since I'm just curious and it's not really a tech help question.

So what kind of headphones are you are currently using for listening to SCANDAL or any other kind of music on your iPhone, laptop, if any? And could you please post your recommendations here and why, that would be awesome  What headphones do you guys use for listening to music? 924158

I'm currently using the akg-242hd, they're not bad for what they cost(I paid slightly less then 100€ if I recall correctly) the sound is clear and neutral but the winning point is that they are really comfortable, I can use them all day.
They're not small earphones like the Apple ones, if you were referring to them I can't really help you, sorry. I use the akg k-318 they are definitely better than the standard Apple headphones, but  I'm sure there's something better.

I actually really like the ones that came with my Rosetta Stone language software. They have a surprising bass range for a headphone. However, when I run, I use a less good set that hook over my ear to keep them securely on. I couldn't tell you the brand of either one, unfortunately.

However, I can't imagine ever buying anything like Beats; I absolutely cannot justify spending $100+ for headphones. They're so incredibly overpriced because of the name behind the brand.

I've been using Skullcandy's "Ink'd" earbuds for about 6 months with my phone.
Pretty happy with them. I bought them in June so perhaps their price has dropped a bit by now.

I use JVC HA-FX40 earbuds. They're less than $20 (they seem to always be on "sale" on Amazon) and are great for the price. I've never been an audiophile, but I know enough that free headphones are almost always terrible. I've bought three pairs of HA-FX40, and before that I also used similarly priced JVC earbuds.

I use a pair of studio headphones from a smaller manufacturer with minimal advertising budget that allow you to get awesome studio clarity of sound and equally strong response across bass, mids and highs for a relatively low price. I have to say that before this I have some Sony XBA 30 headphones which were £30 and seemed great but after buying my new headphones I couldn't bear to listen to anything on those XBAs. I've heard new sounds in all of my music, I was even listening to an Uverworld song when some sudden tapping percussion came in that I'd never heard before, sounding so realistic, close and perfectly placed in a specific part of the room that I ran over to where I though it was coming from to see who was bashing on the wall of my study, not beleiving it was part of the music because it was just that realistic.

Anway, these headphones are Audio Technica ATH-M40x. There's one model above it, which is the ATH-M50x but my budget didn't stretch that far, and many reviews say the only noticable difference is in a tweaking of the bass response. They cost me about £78 from amazon uk but I'll put a link below for dollars:

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M40x-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUR54/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418565872&sr=8-1&keywords=m40x

And here is a in depth review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IekfXQdtcI

I really recommend considering the purchase of headphones carefully, being willing to save up and spend money on your purchase, and to make sure to never be blinded by the advertising of brands like Beats by Dre which do not actually offer clarity and detail of sound, just some flashy features and design because you don't realise what you're missing out on in your music until you carefuly buy the right headphones for you while considering all these things.

I got Beats (Dr Dre) from work. While they pack a punch with the bass, I've noticed the little things in the background I never hear in the car, on the CD player or computer. Example - listen to Very Special and there's a tiny bit of piano in the back. Never heard it until I got these Beats. I've also got a pair or Yamaha earphones but no longer use them.

I'd just mention all the brands I have tried:

Sony
Audio Technica
Coby

As for headphones I'd want to try it would be Behringer. I wonder if anyone knows how quality this brand is? Onion huh?

Haha what a coincidence.. I was watching (more on listening) a youtube video regarding the best headphones when I see this thread..

Audio Technica M50 have lots of good review and I will probably buy one in the future...

I'm currently using a Rovio Headphone (Or angry bird headphone)which I bought in CDR King for less than $5.00 on discount (original price is $8)! I bought it just to have a temporary headphone until I have the money to buy a decent one after my Sony headphone was accidentally broke by my little sister. It turn out that I don't really need to buy a new one yet since it is really good! The sound quality is very good, comparable and even better to some $40+ Headphone that I've used or borrowed (LOL)! You don't need to put the volume loud because you can really hear it clearly. The bass is also clear but not exaggerated. Highly recommended!
The downside is the design! It has angry birds print! I can't use it outside..  .whistle.

I search for the image but I can't find the exact picture of the particular headphone..

Totally get the M50 or the newer M50x (M50x has 3 detachable cables, that's pretty much the difference, but the M50's default fixed cable is super long and curly, which is a little annoying) if you can, I have the M40x, the model below and they are awesome.

They are tuned very level so the bass is great but never overpowers the rest of the track like it can in cheaper headphones, allowing you to hear higher frequency sounds you never heard before and distinguish Tomo's bassline a lot better because the headphones aren't merging it into the drums.

During GirlisM it sounds like Mami is whispering right into my ear: 「愛と形に、現実的に、愛と憧れ。。。」("ai to katachi ni, genjistsu teki ni, ai to akogare..." ), whereas I could barely hear her in some songs before I bought these headphones. And just generally all the details sound crisp and real (see my comment above), so if you can afford the model above like I couldn't I'm sure you'll be blown away.
