This is a nice topic...
"Man proposes, God disposes" - Shintaro Midorima (Kuroko No Basket)
Hehe I really don't know who is the actual author of the quote but I first see it in Kuroko No Basket (although I already know the Filipino version of this quote ever since I was a kid). This quote is pretty much my mantra specially during my college days. I always do my best academically but deep inside, I know that what I'm doing is just a "proposal to my fate or to God". It doesn't guarantee me that I will achieve my goal. But since I did my best, I will have no regrets whatever the outcome is.
And a few quote from Doraemon that I like.
"You can't be the most useless man in the world. There is always someone inferior."
"Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should"
"In the end, it’s up to you to decide whether you want to make your future a good one!"
I get lots of good quote from reading Manga and watching anime.
And a few from Bruce Lee:
"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
"Being rich isn't everything, but it sure beats being poor."

“To fear death, gentlemen, is no other than to think oneself wise when one is not, to think one knows what one does not know. No one knows whether death may not be the greatest of all blessings for a man, yet men fear it as if they knew that it is the greatest of evils.”
"The unexamined life is not worth living."
“Sometimes you put walls up not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.”
“Be nicer than necessary to everyone you meet. Everyone is fighting some kind of battle.”
“Be true to thine own self”
“Do you feel no compunction, Socrates, at having followed a line of action which puts you in danger of the death penalty?'
I might fairly reply to him, 'You are mistaken, my friend, if you think that a man who is worth anything ought to spend his time weighing up the prospects of life and death. He has only one thing to consider in performing any action--that is, whether he is acting rightly or wrongly, like a good man or a bad one.”
Socrates.
