Hi! I've got another great idea I'd like to share~
What if, we like, start different tabbing projects where everybody contributes a small part of a song. Then put it together into a complete tab which everyone can use and enjoy?

I thought about it and it could actually work very efficiently!

For example, we'll make a team of people who tab certain parts of the guitar in a song, and someone who tabs the bass and etc. Assign different smaller manageable parts to people.

To make it comprehensible, I planned out the steps.

1. Choose a song, In this case it's Kagen No Tsuki (simply because it's the newest)
Alright, so we got a song! Now we need people who feel like tabbing it.
2. Choose a part of the song to tab
In this case we've already got some people who have begun tabbing small parts of the song, So I'll just post them here so everyone can see the progress of the song and see which parts haven't been tabbed yet Happy
3. Post the part you have tabbed in this thread
When you've tabbed a part, say, for example, the mami guitar on the verse.. then post it here in a comprehensible format (If you can, please post a guitar pro file!) but anything that's readable works.

The tab part will then be reviewed and corrected if there might be any errors after that this thread will be updated with the newest version of the tab.

nice idea sir..
tsunvun-san done the bass tab, right?,
but you can as well contact him again for guitar part..

I think bouvip-san and jigoku-san also great in tabbing the guitar part of both HARUNA n MAMI (there are many great guitar players here though)..
I don't know any candidate for tabbing the drum part..

I will help too, leave the lead vocal for me..

I do not know if I would help you out in this project, but at least I wanted to say something about it. ^^

I think this idea seems very good theoretically. Happy You can get all the work done more quickly when you work with different people on different parts of the song. Maybe it encourages some people to tab too, if they only are (or see themselves) capable of tabbing the parts for one or two instrument(s). That way, you can create much more complete tabs! And besides, you can help each other out when certain parts suddenly seem too difficult. Another good point is that others can see what parts are missing very easily by checking the progress of the song. Wink

But there are some practical drawbacks for this method of working too, for example the following below:

HugoDisasters wrote:The tab part will then be reviewed (maybe corrected if there might be any errors) and then I'll update this thread on the progress.
Firstly, you can scratch that "maybe" out, if you ask me. If you let different people working on different parts of the same instrument, it is unthinkable you don't have to correct anything. Simply because everyone writes down a riff or a melody differently. Maybe person 1 avoids open strings, while person 2 doesn't find that necessary (or is just indolent). Not surprisingly, it is pretty annoying for the player when he or she has to play the same riff differently every verse. You really need to review the tab well to get it consistent as a whole, I just want to stress that point.
Secondly, when everyone is responsible for a different part, it can still be difficult to tab for others, though. For example, I find it easier to tab the drums after I tabbed the parts for the guitar and the bass. And maybe someone else likes it the other way around. But when others are in charge for some vital parts, you probably end up tabbing your own part with a fragmented half-finished tab, or maybe nothing at all (if you are the first). That could obstruct the progress in some way, too.

That's more or less how I see it. Those drawbacks I mention are just two things to keep in mind, rather than two things which makes this project impossible. Well, in case enthusiastic offers to do the drums keep absent here, I might give it a try at a later point. But I want to give those who like to tab drum parts the opportunity first. Peace Onion

What you're pointing out is right and seems obvious to me at least.
The writing of the initial thread came out as it did, that maybe was just a polite way to make people try out tabbing a song even though it goes wrong.

I feel that for whatever reason people want to help with this, no matter what they do, it'll count as a way in the right direction.

Hopefully there will be some contributions in the near future.

Currently, I've made a draft of the drum tab. But they might have flaws.
I'll post them here if someone feels like adding a second opinion.

Nice job!
I used 138 bpm in mine. I saw yours had 134?
Now I'm not sure which one is right but, well done on the vocal part and the full bass.

I'll update it with some Drums (possibly) and Haruna guitar.

I like how you included my intro although its different from how Mami plays it. Alternatively, you can change the 7th fret on the D string to the 12th fret on the A string to make it exactly like how Mami plays but it would still be the same note. (I'm sure you or some other members would've figured that out by now).

Anyway Good Luck with the project and i'll try and tab some more parts once i figure them out.Onion Smile

UPDATE:
I have now collected all submitted parts into the guitar pro file.
I plan to add the rest of Haruna's guitar soon. Maybe a bit more drums.

Time will tell!
Thank you so far for the small but meaningful parts.
Some day this entire song will be tabbed!

I'm sorry to bother you but is it possible for you to do your GP file with a other extension than .gpx (GP6) ?. I don't have it, I use Tuxguitar, so I can not open it Sad

I use TuxGuitar too! :D

There's an extension for TuxGuitar for opening gpx.
Here's the link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/tuxguitar-fork/

But there's a bit of a catch here: some files won't open straight away (those with titles which have non unicode characters - Chinese/Japanese etc), you have to open tuxguitar, go to File > Open, then select the file you want to open from there.

Oh, and throw the file into ...\TuxGuitar\share\plugins, then activate it (I'm not too sure if you need to) from TuxGuitar > Tools > Plugins.

Thanks for sharing some useful information for TuxGuitar users.
That won't be necessary the next time I update the tabs though, I'll save it as a .gp6 next time Happy

Oh ! Thx for the tips :D

@hugodisaster
About tab for mami or other instruments, you can also look at the instructional video of Kagen no Tsuki :D Like this, you can see that the intro is different :

e ---------------------------------------------------
B ---------------------------------------------------
G ---------------------------------------------------
D -------------9-11-9------9------9--------9-10-11--
A -9---12-9-----------12-----12-----12--------------
E ---------------------------------------------------

And she uses her whammy pedal as an octaver for the intro
