About that, is there an option to flash the "profile" tab when a request is pending on the receivers end? Just like how the "message" tab flashes when a new message is sitting in the inbox?
I didn't know about the friends section for the longest time because it was a kind of "out of sight out of mind" thing hidden in the profile section and by the time I realized it I saw that a few of my request came from members who no longer visit the forum.

I agree, several new members said they had no idea I had sent them a friend request

I definitely agree with bigOeyez! 
I did not know that a message was not sent if you received a friend request, until a very long time after I signed up when I was strolling the profile section. (mainly because whenever I sent a friend request, the same person would reply by saying thank you or something of that sort).
So definitely a flash up on profile or a message alert would be very helpful.

Yeah this sounds nice for me as well. But sadly Forumotion has no option to give notifications for friend request. So there's nothing I can do about it. xD

I do remember mc saying that, I just thought things might have changed.
On facebook for example a friend request is very obvious but of course SH is not facebook.
But I am glad of that, facebook can be a scary place with Turks wanting to do nasty things to
you, SH always feels nice and safe !
