<center><font style="letter-spacing:-5px"; size=40px><b>back number</b></font></center>
Back number is a 3-piece band formed in 2004, but its current members came together in 2007. The vocalist of the group, Shimizu Iyori, came up with the name "back number" due to a girl he liked. The girl, at the time, was in a relationship with a member of a band. In response, Shimizu thought that if he created a band of his own, she would notice him. However, he realised that he was already cast-aside, and was seen by her as something of no use, hence he used the name "back number".
The group consists of three members:
They just released a new single called Watagashi (わたがし).
