Hey fellow SCANDAL fans!

As you probably know SCANDAL inspires many young people throughout the world and i'm one of those people! i've always wanted to be in a band long before i discovered SCANDAL but after seeing them perform gave me much more determination!

So i'm a female high school student and was planning to form a band... preferably an all girl rock band... BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START!

Could you guys give me some suggestions on how to form an ideal band? (keeping in mind school probably would have to come first..)

I have been in many bands ( nobody famous ) and found it quite easy to start at High school.
Just put a notice up on the school notice board ( if they still have one ! ) and make sure you say what kind of music you want to play.
Then you sort out the people you want in your band from the one's you really dont want !

The hard part is finding somewhere to practise, we were lucky as our Headmaster wanted to appear cool and let us practise in the school hall after hours.
But dont nail your drumkit to the school stage like we did so he could trip over the nails in assembly !
How many nights a week depends on you and how much homework you get, good luck !

However i kind of find it hard to reject people, if you know what i mean....

is there anyway i could select people without having to reject anyone?

The best way is to hold auditions for members with a close friend and tell them you will let them know, it is easier that way !

Oh and one more thing... since we dont have a notice board at school i was planning to make some sort of poster to stick in the hallways. but what information specifically should i add on it?

Just keep the poster short and brightly coloured to catch people's eye.
Say you only want girls and what kind of band.
If it is a SCANDAL type band you do not want death metal people and screamo's turning up !

As tony said, just put your specific music genre you're going to play, positions you need from them in the band (e.g. bassist, guitar(lead/rhythm), drum, keyboard, etc.)..and make sure you share at least the same favorite bands/music with them..
