International PerformerHey, I've played a few Final Fantasy games, mostly the ones after 7.
I first started with FF7, and I absolutely loved it. I kept replaying it to complete every quest, side-quest, mini-games, secret characters/items, etc.
I then played 8, 9, X, X-2 and FF Tactics.
My favourite would still be FF7 though. I loved all the Sound tracks for these games, absolutely fabulous.

Caless StudentNice! You didn't play XII? FFXII is the one and only game I played for more than 300 accumulated hours. hehe. if you could, try out the classic ones. they're really good as well.
One-Winged Angel: Best song in the whole series.

For shame Pluto, you are missing out on the older Final Fantasies which have better storylines and characters imo. At least, give Final Fantasy 6 a go.. it has one of the best badass awesome characters ever in a Final Fantasy game at least imo =p

International PerformerI've played FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10 and FF12. Didn't play FF11 cuz it's MMORPG and didn't play FF13 cuz I dun own a PS3.
Being the first FF I played, I must say FF7 made the most impact. It was the first most captivating storyline and twist I encountered amongst the RPGs I played (of course, subsequently there were better ones from other games, but I'll not go into it).
I like the other FF as well, cuz all of them never failed to let me immerse myself in a fantasy world where great adventures await and new characters to explore. I particularly like the characters in FF9. The diversity and charisma of the characters made me kept wanting to learn more about them and the cute but inspiring dialouges in the ATE (Active Time Events, if I remember correctly) were very fun to watch.
Of course, I like Advent Children a lot too. One-Winged Angel is also one of my top favorite.
So glad there are so many here who loves FF (^w^)

@chiy yeah, people here like FF as well. was surprised myself. .smile.

Caless Student@dualyy yes you have to try the older ones. FFVII is a must-play for a lot of people..
there've been arguments between FF6 and FF7 on which one's better. just try em both and see for yourself.

Caless StudentI don't think it's gonna happen though. Square gave clues on it (the after-credits movie in Crisis Core) but then denied it was in development (2008). I haven't heard the latest news though. We can keep hoping for it.
Maybe Square is making fun of us? .bleh.
cuz they know everybody wants that remake to happen. or maybe on their part, it's hard to make it.

International PerformerI am afraid I have to agree with you !
It took ages to remake the opening scene from FFVII for the PS3 and that was just to show what it could do.
But when you think of some of the story line ( Like the house of ill repute in Wall street market ) it would have to carry an 18 rating !
But I think almost everyone would buy it if they did.

Caless Studentmaybe they would edit the cross dressing part. but the essence of the original game might fade.
there are a lot of difficult parts too redo.. Aerith's death might be bloodied up too cuz of the new graphics they'll incorporate (if ever).

International PerformerI dont know about you but I was not so mad on FFXIII.
It did not feel like an RPG game and you could not wander off and explore like
in the other games.
What did you think ?

Caless StudentI played partway through FFVII when I was in college because my friend had it - didn't finish it before we graduated though. I've played and finished FFVIII, FFX, and FFXII. FFXII actually also helped me find one of my new favorite artists, Angela Aki. I really liked the ending theme of FFXII and so I looked up Angela Aki and found a bunch of other songs I liked so I ended up buying four albums of hers.

Haha, I never saw this until now - sorry!
VI would be 1 generation too early for me. I remember playing VII in my 4th grade, which was about 10~11 years ago. (My cousin gave it to me to borrow)
So I wouldn't know too much about anything before 7 until I finally got into the final fantasy series. Now I don't even have a play station anymore, so I'm kinda lazy to search for older games.

Ya, it was 'The Ultimate' travelling machine one could ever have.
I also still remember mistaking a normal yellow chocobo as the gold one when I tried to breed one. They looked rather similar, especially if it was your first time getting the gold chocobo (^w^)
