Santander Libertadores da america cup Libertadores

Ok guys, I want to start this discussion thread about Libertadores
For those who don't know, Libertadores is the most important soccer tournament of South america + Mexico(guest)
I think most of you know, cause the libertadores champion goes to FIFA club world cup
last year the champion of libertadores was Santos F.C. from Brasil, and my fav team .clap.
but we lost for Barcelona in the World cup .fustrated.

Santos x Internacional is about to start , my guess is 2-2
hope to see Alexander Pato's old team in the FIFA Club world cup again (well it is not that easy) but hope so

and for Flamengo's game against Emelec I think it'll be 3-1 for Flamengo, I started paying attention to the team after Adriano signed with the team few years ago and Ronaldo de assis (Ronaldihno) signed with the team

P.s: I'm a Sao Paulo fan

Yep but for me a player as Robinho is a mess...
Honestly, leave the Real of Madrid for join Manchester City...It as really a choice for money only, no a sportive choice...
Moreover I think if he was remained in Madrid, he would be better than today

yep!! Neymar is the star of the team know, people only talk about him, and forgot the rest of the team
we have good players in team, we are the team that has more players in the National team(Brasil)

But he came back to Santos earning less than a half of their salary
all of the greatest teams of brasil offered a great salary, and he came back for the team that he loves!!
and we won 2 Cups with him!!

So why he's gone to Milan just after 1 year spent in Santos?

And yes I've seen a report about salaries in the Brazilian league and Ronaldo said that before, all best players went in Europe for the level and the salary, but now, it's more harder for a player to choose between Brazil and Europe because the Brazilian league can offer a good salary as a european team, and furthermore, players prefer stay in their own country rather go overseas

First:
He just spent 1 year in Santos cause Manchester city do not sell him to Santos, they just made a deal, if the team paid the salary they can keep robinho for a undetermined time, but manchester still held the rights of the player
and after 1 year, Milan made a offer in robinho
and Santos hadn't had the money to cover the offer
so he was sold against their will, they had a contract TOJ Onion

Second: this is true!! Neymar is a evidence of this, he will still playing in santos for more 2 or 3 years, I don't know exactly

I think they tried to get him to their teams, but the president of Santos said he won't give up on Neymar that easily

First: I agree with you!!
Second: And they are!! the offers are really high, but now Santos has the money to make him stay in brasil
and he has other reasons too
Neymar is to young, he's trying to make the opposite of robinho
and he has a newborn

No, it's not santos' decision only, it's a decision of both
he don't wanna to go out from brasil right now!!

TO be honest I don't want Barca to sign him
Is it me, or everyone else noticed that super stars do the best with their first team, but when they move to another one, they get worse than before.

for example, Fernando Torres, he was ok with Liverpool before he moves to Chelsea
Nuri Sahin he is now with Real Madrid but isn't that good as he was with Borussia Dourtmound

But about the level, how is the level of the Brazilian league? Is it comparable to an european league?

uhnn, this is a hard question to answer .nerd.
I think is hard to compare, cause european league is more technical
brazilian league is more passionately
we have great teams ,and great players, but we don't have much technical
it's like: let's play and see what happens
but if we compare the players, I think we have better players than european league
many brazilian players go to european league, I don't know exactly, but when Inter won the last World Cup, more than a half of the team was brazilian
In my point of view, brazilian league is fiercer than european
here we have basically 10 strongest teams(Santos, Sao paulo, Corinthians, Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense, Vasco, Botafogo, Internacional, Gremio)
and european can be summed up in Barcelona, Real Madrid, and one or two other teams
Brazilian league is more exciting

Before the 2nd reason was the level, moreover have a big place in a big european team scored points for the national selection, but now after what you said, may be it's more hard for a Brazilian player to choose between his native country and europe.
But I think Brazilian teams must prove their hight level to everyone, by the world cup of cities for example, unfortunately for you, the last one was won by Barcelona but why not this year?
