I love this band since I was in high school especially when they release over and pride singles their music is a mix of guy and a female voice so for me it sounds nice thats why I love this band they can go rock and pop too bad maki left the band but was replace by a new vocalist Halca I hope she can do as maki can do

That's too bad and they've just got a new vocalist too (poor Halca) and their latest album did pretty well in the Oricon charts on its release date.

So they are breaking up due to "musical differences" and "future opportunities." Well I guess that's one of the usual reasons why most bands break up. .tsk.

Yeah read this on Tokyograph. It's so sad that they're breaking up even though I've stopped listening to them ever since Maki left but still, they were that ones that made me like Japanese music.

they're such a great band I guess since the heart of the band is gone (maki) they start to have own differences so sad they're ones that made me like Japanese music in alternative and pop because of their blend of music whyyyy

me too, i dont really like haikara with halca as the vocalist. nothing can replace maaki, i think :D

HaMC with maaki is waaaay better when Halca entered the band.. their music became more METALish.. IMO (no offense intended)

but Halca's voice fits the band perfectly..unfortunately.. the band will break up.. she didn't even had a chance to prove herself to HaMC's Fans.. i wanna hear more of her.. i hope she will join or make a new band.. .clap.

I actually prefer the heavier music, it goes back to their roots. They made some amazing music back before maki joined (Which is when they changed name to HaMC) and I was glad to see them go back to it with their last album.
It's just a shame to see such a great band break up.

Maki is not the vocalist anymore. It sucks

They're disbanding because the so called "fans" can't accept that Makii wants a different life, and doesn't want to be in a band anymore.
"fans" complaining obviously leads to the members being stressed out because they can't do anything about it. I actually feel sorry for Halca having to put up with the bitching.

The more I see people complain about Halca, the more I think that they aren't even fans of High and Mighty Color; but just fans of Makii. A fan would support the band no matter what they do, they wouldn't complain about someone leaving at any chance they get.

^^ I do agree sometimes fans can be overly possessive.

Most of the time when vocalist or a significant member of the band gets replace the fans tend to reject the replacement although a comparison of the performances of the past and present members will somewhat be closer or still good,or even better fans will always complain. Because the issue is no longer about music, It's about what is associated with it. They feel their memories and experiences associated with the song is being trampled with or replace, for instance take Scandal covering Secret Base in other forums Zone fans are bashing them for ruining a great song but in fact for a neutral listener both versions are good.

I also feel sorry for Halca for being in a band at the wrong moment.... Any news about her?
