Yes I have a Japanese friend who lives in Ichikawa, Chiba and she sent me pictures of the snow and said it is most unusual there, she lives near Tokyo.

I watched John Daub's livestream on YouTube early this afternoon. He wasn't prepared for the unusual Tokyo snow. He started using the hashtag #snokyo.

My elementary classmate who's now living in Saitama which is north of Tokyo isn't prepared either. She constantly worries about her outdoor plants covered in snow.
