I think of a stadium as being at another level—the size of places that host professional football and baseball games. Of course they've played Osaka-Jo Hall and Yokahama Arena as well as Budokan, but never a Stadium.
Nevertheless, you are right, not everybody is aware of the difference so I should change that wording.
I wish the promoter would release something that we could run with. I wish we could be in contact with promoters who could let us know if we could help them get the word out. If anyone has an information on that please let us know.
Just so you know, BAND-MAID is coming to Boston too—in October. They are already sold out and even had to move to a larger venue. I think their whole US Fall tour is sold out.

The US promoter has always been shitty and for some reason never really promotes SCANDAL's tours here. It's not going to change this time either, sadly. btw, SCANDAL's management is aware of this. I don't know why they won't do anything about it.

But what the band really needs to do is to drop this shitty promoter and go with a better one. Unfortunately, I don't think they can afford to do so. ‍�

Sorta suspected that was the case. So I think we fans have to step in the the extent we are able. This band works hard for us—and so do you, TGE dammit—i think we owe them more than the price of our tickets.
Now about the venue BIG NIGHT LIVE—there have been more than a few complaints about management there (though 70 percent from fans at hip-hop and house events), which extends to the information they provide. Thus on the one hand they say "all tickets are GA, no VIP" and on the other hand they say "GA $40, VIP tables $200."
Though we bought VIP tables, we don't care that much about Meet & Greet. But for those who do, what are they supposed to think? Let's hope there will be more info as the actual date approaches. One more headache for TEAM SCANDAL—hope they can get a handle on it, as well as where they can set up the merch etc.
On the bright side, the venue is very well laid out, perfect for a concert. Location is in the main building of North Station with rail and rapid transit links, close to Logan Airport, lots of nearby restaurants, about fifteen minutes walk from Boston's historic center.

I'm talking about VIP in the context of the other dates, which includes a photo with the band, early entry, and a 'gift.' The "box seating" tickets that Big Night Live is offering are something completely different and separate; those only include seating towards what seems to be the back and right side of the venue + table service.


So this is what I asked them:

I see that on Ticketmaster you are offering a GA ticket option and a box seating option, but will you also be offering a VIP ticket option that includes priority entry, a photo with the band, and a gift? The rest of the venues that the band is visiting on this tour are offering this ticket option, and I was wondering if Big Night Live will be doing so as well.

And they said:

We are offering GA and Box Seating for this show only.

So this definitely does mean that VIP tickets (photo, early entry, gift) will be NOT offered for the Boston show.

 This is a major bummer. I live in the city so i'll 100% go but now i might consider riding into nyc to catch them there too. 

@etwee, where in Boston do you live? I'm in South Boston. The venue location is super convenient for public transportation. I've many gripes about the T (the local subway system) but this venue is very accessible.

It would be nice if there was Scandal approved copy to use in public event calendars and such. That way we could do the leg work for them but keep the message consistent. When sending an email to a language school or a cultural center, I don't think it matters as much, but probably should still have an "I'm just a fan" disclaimer.
It's possible Scandal has determined the best marketing is just word-of-mouth, and press releases and such aren't worth the effort. I can imagine a radio spot: "Scandal! They're like the Bangles but with better songs you won't understand the lyrics to!" Probably not going to help much.

Anime Boston is at the end of this month, May 27-29. I hope to promote their July 13 Boston performance with a flyer. Too bad there doesn't seem to be a QR code available. VIP/table* tickets for July 13 are sold out, it would be good if they can sell out the remaining GA/floor tickets ASAP. 
(*As TGE said earlier, Boston won't have the usual VIP, as it doesn't seem to include meet & greet. But the venue calls its $200 table option "VIP" anyway)

For those who want to be on a budget.

Currently because of "concert week promtion"

Mirror Boston and Chicago GA tickets are on sale for $25 + fees.

I'm wondering if any shows in North America will sell out. The venues all seem sized on the optimistic side, but they might get close in Anaheim, right? I just compared the available seating for Toronto with a screen capture from a month ago and they've sold another 40 tickets or so, bringing my rough count up to 570. The VIP seats on Tomomi's side need attention, folks! Don't make her sad! US citizens going to Canada just need a passport and proof of vaccination. I think you need to upload the proof into their app, like an e-ticket. So, not so hard.
Meanwhile, I've bought some hot weather pants specifically for Plano. The day after the show is historically Plano's hottest day of the year. Fortunately, the inside area is air-conditioned.

I really don't think any of them will sell out, unfortunately. They've never sold out a concert in the US in the past, and I don't think they've gained much more popularity in the 4 years since they were last here.

While I am glad they got sold out in London, just mean I need to show up early to get a good spot.

Due to delays in my PR card and passport I sadly don't think I can make it for my Europe shows.
I still have a VIP ticket for the Toronto show. I did notice something though, it doesn't mention anywhere that there will be any form of bonus or meet and greet for the Toronto gig.

It used to mention M&G, early entry, and a gift. Here's a screenshot I took of the ticketing page back in February 2020 when tickets were yet to go on sale:




Since it listed all of those perks at the time when most people bought their tickets, they kind of do need to legally honor that.

I also mentioned a few months ago that the Seattle ticketing page says you'll be able to take a socially-distanced photo with the band. That'll likely be the norm for the rest of the dates.

And if there's one thing the promoters they work with outside of Japan are known for, it's definitely honoring what they listed on the page when people bought their tickets.

Yes, well. I wasn't really referring to the gift portion. At least they can't just outright renege on something without facing immediate backlash like the M&G that has to be done at the time of the event, unlike physical items that they can claim they're sending later.

I did end up reaching out to them and this was the email I got. Good to know. 

Just got my New York VIP and Boston Box seats. $400 poorer.
