Hello!!! I'm phenom89, I'm italian... and I'm a big Scandal fan (and of other 1000 japanese artist/band)!!!
When I've time (pretty rare), I write for a little italian website about J-Music.

I was lucky enough to travel to Tokyo two times (that will be three as soon as Japan open borders), and the second time I've been to both concerts at Zepp Tokyo in the final part of Scandal's "Fuzzy Summer Mood" tour.

What's your standard!?

For me it would be a dream to go to a SCANDAL concert. I don't know which is more difficult, me going to Japan or the band coming to South America.

Anyway, let us know when you post something about Scandal on your website. I believe I can partially understand italian, as its origin is the same as portuguese.

What area are you from?  I'm curious where in Italy Scandal is making an impact.  I'm a combination of Abruzzese, Calabrese and Napoletano but I'm from New Jersey where most Italians ended up in the US.

Did you discover Scandal through the other J-Rock bands, or were they your starting point?

Wow, you're from Assisi? I've been there once- such a beautiful town! It has so many delightful areas, not only Basilica di San Francesco!

What can I say... maximum respect for anyone, but I think that the "idol world" has his strength points in what I'm not interested in.
I don't listen K-Pop too.

To be honest, thanks to a cover of one of my favourite bands, I've discovered NiziU (are they considered an idol band???) and they are very catchy!!!

Jovanotti... I liked him a long time ago (until first years of 2000).
Than he, slowly but constantly, began to change his music style into "dance" music... too much for me, and I don't like him anymore.

Like you, I have been to Japan 2 times (the last one in December 2018). And I also really hope soon they open the borders and we can visit again. And the euro tour too, I have tickets since the beginning of 2020.

My favorite Japanese bands are SCANDAL, Aldious, BAND-MAID, Q'ulle, PassCode, BABYMETAL, SILENT SIREN, Gacharic Spin, LOVEBITES, Mary's Blood, NECRONOMIDOL, KAQRIYOTERROR, BRATS, ぜんぶ君のせいだ。

I have not been in Assisi but I visited Sicily in 2015.

I'm a huge fan of SpecialThanks too, read your article and Sunctuary was a pleasant surprise for me too, but it's #4 best of 2020 in my own list.

Well, I still like Jovanotti, but you're absolutely right- his albums from the past century were much, much better. For me, the highest moment was with "L'ombelico del mondo" and it was like twenty-something years ago...

Use that quote as you like. It's kinda diplomatic... but it's true that in idol music I acknowledge something, simply it's not my style. There are music styles that for me should burn in hell (reggaeton on top of everything).

From Nemophila I've listened only little pieces of their songs, very quick (I've to listen them better). First impression is that the singer is amazing, but the music is a bit too metal for me... maybe I'll talk about them on my 2021 recap.
The problem is always free time and fatigue: for example, when I'm tired from a day at work I don't like to listen new music... I've to be very relaxed and concentrated while I listen new stuff.

I have フレンズ discography to listen from at least 3 months.

We are on Scandal forum so I should not write things like this, but Mayu (from Nemophila) is IMO the best Japanese female vocalist. Absolutely amazing!
I always thought that there's something wrong with me, because I often like to listen to new music when it's calm and quiet around me. Now, thanks to you I see it's a normal thing :-)

Well, I also have a special bond with "Fuzzy", because it was (probably) the very first Scandal song I have ever heard. I don't understand why some fans don't like it.
And "Saishūheiki, Kimi" is one of my favourite track when they play it live- I like its aggressiveness.

I started to listen to his music when I first saw "Serenata Rap" on MTV, that's why I like this period the most.
And yes, now and then- there's sadly no comparison :-(
