Yeah, that's the likely scenario. Unfortunately, they won't be touring off the back of a fresh new album, their first as an independent, as planned. 2020 was supposed to be their year!

On the bright side, I'm sure I'm not the only one who is doubly determined now to catch them on tour when things resume.

But I don't think they will tour outside Japan this year. So it's time to try to get tickets for the end of the year in Japan (if we are allowed to fly there).

Usually by the number of people in the venue. But I don't know what exactly that number is, because it depends on the country, and even within a country the numbers have changed over time during the outbreak. In France it is 5,000, I think. I think in Germany it has been 100 and later 50.

There is also the issue of 14 days quarantine that is coming.

Well, just inserting Video Action 1 und 2 again and having fun... and of course rewatching their first Budokan concert... first time to see them live. It was soooo awesome!

There definitely not going to be a doing a “meet & greet” session this time either. All of that goes out the window with performing artists now. Companies can’t take that risk, losing their cash cows.

Nope. The tweet specifically says that the canceled performances are 国内全公演 (kokunai zenkouen) = all domestic performances, AKA the performances in Japan. It does not include the Europe and NA dates, nor the Asia dates for that matter.

So this is how the tour currently stands:

-Japan dates = canceled
-Asia dates = postponed
-Europe dates = still planned
-North America dates = still planned

A little under $30 (in Yen, anyway) is one hell of a deal for admission, given that they're going to set up a full stage production. I've paid way more for setless Regional Theatre. Of course, I'm going to have to take the day off work, but that's what I would've done to attend an overseas gig anyway.

I don't believe that Scandal cancels the domestic tour but still plans to fly to Europe or the US.
But yes, the wording sounds like they would.

Reading between the lines, making this livestream available to overseas fans may mean we won’t get to see them overseas either. Me = glass half empty.

The main problem for overseas concerts is...
Time is running out. And for such a big event you need preparation time. No one knows when Japan will open again for foreigners. And therefore no one knows if there will be still a quarantine obligation after visiting Germany / France / GB / US in september.

I would be happy to see Scandal but I'm more of a realist. There won't be any Scandal concert in Europe this year. Only chance is to see them in december if I'm allowed to enter Japan

I also think that this year there will be no concerts abroad. The question that worries me is - are they cancel it completely or rescheduled for another time, with the opportunity to come with a ticket already purchased.

Again, ONLY THE JAPAN DATES OF THE TOUR have been canceled as of right now.

Asia remains postponed. Europe & North America are still currently scheduled to happen unless otherwise announced.

Sorry, I should have read it more carefully, but it still seems unlikely, most people think live performances in the UK by September is pretty unlikely.



Sir Cameron Mackintosh told the BBC that live performances, theatres and musicals are unlikely before early next year ( 2021 )

So we may find out sometime in June, Scandal may try do same, a gigs online for fans around the world.

Just some rough math let's you know how horrible this is. Assume 20,000 tickets at $50 and you get a MEEELION DOLLARS in lost revenue for the year. That is a very conservative estimate. And I recall a member blogging about another band who stood to lose a bundle on merch for a cancelled show, and of course Scandal is in the same boat.
Since you all have to buy Christmas presents for relatives and such, consider giving grandma a KFTD hoodie. She'll love it. CDJapan has them, just sayin'.

Japanese KFTD ticket refund.

A few of you asked about refunds before.

Basically if you have a Scandal Mania Paper ticket, it needs to be sent back to eplus and the money will be refunded to a Japanese bank account, account details do not need to match ticket holder, but it has to be a Japanese bank account. You have till end of June to send it back to eplus. If you hold a e-ticket and paid via credit card it will be automatically refunded to the Japanese credit card that was used to pay for it.

As for general release tickets there are too many outlets and payment method, so please check the box office website listed https://www.scandal-4.com/news/scandal-world-tour-2020-kiss-from-the-darkness-7/

That is referring to the tickets for the livestream concert to be held in August. Overseas fans will be able to buy them too once they have a system set up.

I can't see them coming over here either. I hope they will reschedule for a later time.

If they cancel it, it will mean tickets have to be refunded according to EU law. That might be an incentive to reschedule.
