Announcing SCANDAL MANIA presents “SCANDAL KARAOKE NIGHT”!

On 8/21 this year (SCANDAL's anniversary), we'll be doing unheard-of live band karaoke! The one singing will be you!

SCANDAL will perform at full strength just as they do for their regular live shows! We'll have the entire audience sing at full strength!
※Lyrics for all songs can be sung.

Perhaps the band members also might take this chance for karaoke to sing non-SCANDAL songs!?

At any rate, this'll be a fun "KARAOKE NIGHT"!! Please participate in it!

I wonder if the audience has to sing the whole set list with the band playing live. Unusual, but sounds like a fun idea.

I can't say this is an event that appeals to me since the main reason I go to SCANDAL shows is to hear the band perform everything themselves. I honestly don't want to hear anyone else sing lol

That is literraly what I always wanted to do hahaha.

As can be seen by the setlist, it was a mix of the audience doing karaoke to SCANDAL songs with live instrumentals performed by the band, the band karaoke-ing other artists' songs individually & as a group, and the band performing+singing their own songs.

The band karaoke songs were done with the band playing the music live while karaoke videos from the DAM karaoke system with lyrics were played on the screen in back of the band, and the audience singing as loud as they could. For the band karaoke songs 4-5 and 11-13, the band showed a "Request List" of songs the audience could choose for the band to play. Whichever songs got the highest reactions were the ones that they played.

For the members' individual karaoke songs, they went over to a couch in the middle of the stage with tambourines and selected their songs from a karaoke selection tablet (like they were at an actual karaoke place). Also, for HARU's karaoke song, she even did the dance routine that goes with it.

Haruna dancing to "Try Me" must had been hot. But well only those lucky Mania members witness.
At first I misunderstand that a chosen Mania member went on stage and perform with the band.

I too thought that some group of people will go on stage and sing with the band playing, awkward moments in sue. But I like how they took the concept of audience singing a long in live shows and just turning it into an event. A much better idea than I thought the first time, actually sounds like loads of fun.
