I'm not sure if a similar thread has been made, but who do you think would fit SCANDAL in terms of a collaborative project? Of course, there have been precedents, the ANIMAX MUSIC events being an example, with several singers jamming with our favourite band.

Personally, I can think of three right off the bat:

1. Stereopony - The two groups know each other to begin with, and have a similar musical style, so it would be pretty much a seamless fit. Both bands can rock and do ballads, so I don't think there'll be much of a problem picking a musical genre.

2. Perfume - Just like Stereopony, these two bands know each other well too, however the severe difference in their genres might be a hurdle...of course, I wouldn't mind an electronic remix of some of SCANDAL's songs, or on the flipside, a non-electronic rock version of Perfume's songs.

3. JUDY AND MARY - Daydream combo anyone? Of course, this is strictly an imaginary suggestion, considering the age difference and JUDY AND MARY having disbanded a long time ago.

4. Chatmonchy - It will be hard, considering the difference in voice style between Chatmonchy's lead and Haruna, but well, sometimes the most unthinkable of combos combine for a nice mix

i agree with Stereopony. SCANDAL has known for a long time and Mami and Shiho are super good friends. i love both bands so they should do one....then again they are next month! :cheer:

Since SCANDAL already have three different vocal range (the husky, the funky and the squeaky ^_^), I guess collaborating with a female artist or a band with a female vocalist would be too much for me. So I would like to see them collaborating with a male artist or a band with a male vocalist like the ever so great Aqua Timez. I would like to hear something like "Sen no Yoru o Koete Part II" or "Switch Part II". Hehehehehe. Or with some other rock band (I don't know much about J-rock bands though).

^ True, but male/female band collaborations in Japan are very very rare. If it's for a male band, I'd try Laruku. HYDE and Haruna on the same vocals anyone? XD

I'd love to see them do some work with Girl's Dead Monster.
Their styles are quite different though, but I'd like to hear some songs sung by Scandal's Haruna or Tomomi, in a Girl's Demo style with the guitar work done by Hikari Syuyo (guitarist for Girl's Demo). I love the classic rock sound he gets from his guitar, and Scandal songs have been lacking this type of sound in their more recent songs.

Stereopony is a pretty good choice. They know each other so the chemistry should be pretty good.

While I agree that YUI, Stereopony, Zone and even Ikimonogakari.. etc.. would be a good choice for them to do an awesome collaboration, I think that UVERworld may be a good choice too.. if the song is one of those hard rock songs like Shunkan Sentimental =] Imagine Takuya's voice from UVERworld mixing with Haruna's, it would be epic .wow. Besides UVERworld, maybe One Ok Rock or perhaps Abingdon Boys School may be a good collaboration for them too.
