Hello everyone! I've been a fan of SCANDAL's music for a few years thanks to YouTube recommending Harukaze to me and getting instantly hooked. But my favorite song of theirs at the moment is Departure. 

I don't know much about the band since I only listened to their music in the past, but I want to know more so any recommendations on what to watch would be greatly appreciated!


Also I've been wondering how successful/popular SCANDAL is? I'd assume they are at least fairly well known.

SCANDAL are not huge in Japan to be honest, for example their last single "Take me out" sold 21,880 copies where as AKB48 who are huge in Japan sold 1,614,316 copies of their last single.

But their concerts are always well attended and they are highly respected by many other Japanese Artists.

Yes those are great songs, one of my favorites too. I recommend checking out their newer stuff, from their latest album HONEY, those are great too.

If you wanna just watch them on youtube, search for their DVD lives. Perfect world concert it's fully uploaded and it's my personal favourite (can't post the link though but it's easy to find)

Welcome to Heaven.  YouTube is a popular spot for many of us to discover Scandal for the first time.  My initiation video was the PV "Shoujo S."  If you haven't seen it yet, then I highly recommend it.  

There is a lot of content on YouTube but due to issues with the record company, a lot of it gets removed every now and again.  There is a Scandal channel on Vimeo which one of the Scandal Heaven members thankfully put together.  It contains all of their promo videos and then some.  As for YouTube, I recommend searching "Scandal Japan band live" (or some combination of those words) to get a lot of old TV, festival and concert video.  There are also a lot of interviews from TV, radio and documentaries that are on YouTube.  Some of which is translated, but even if you don't understand Japanese, it's still a good way to experience and enjoy them.  DailyMotion has some content as well.

Lastly, as you may have found already, this site is loaded with translated interviews, articles and TV appearances.  Dig in and I will guarantee you will get lost for a few hours a day discovering more stuff on the band.  I discovered them a little over three years ago and playing catch-up became a full time endeavor (and passion).  Warning: Scandal is very addicting.  Enjoy.

Also, coincidentally as I was reading your intro I was listening to the end of Departure. When I looked up the English translation to the lyrics, I really related to it.
