I was not expecting to like the whole album as much as I do and I'm even more surprised that Ai no shotai has to be my number one favorite. It's just too good with all the sax parts and choir ahh
(Despite the poor mix) I absolutely adore Yuugure, Tokeru. What a beautiful melody! I get a little misty-eyed. Haru may have only written three songs so far, but at least she's got a 100% success rate. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I will also say Ivory is my least favorite. That one could have been written by anyone and I'm really happy it turned out to be by far the weakest track on the whole album (in my opinion, of course).
EDIT: I gave my second vote to Prism, as noone has voted for it yet and it looked lonely and sad. I think it's a beautiful song. Love the bells and everything.

Since bonus track are excluded from the poll (otherwise Spice would easily win in my eyes, no contest!), I went with Ivory (my favorite single from last year) and Yuugure, Tokeru (a song that surprisingly exceeded my expectations, which, based on the trailer, weren't as high).
"Yuugure, Tokeru" -- My favorite song on the album. There's a bit of l'arc~en~ciel meets Snow Patrol in it. Also, Haruna shines most when singing in lower notes. She's a natural contralto, to begin with.
"Ai no Shoutai" -- Classy and soulful! It reminds me of Tears for Fears' Sowing the Seeds of Love and Chisato Moritaka's songs in the late 90s accompanied by gospel vocals and adorable saxophone solo.
"Kanojo Wa Wave" -- I love its sexy, seductive vibe! I always imagine Rina having a dance number on a variety show like this while listening to Kanojo, hahaha!

I voted Mirror and Ai no Shoutai as my top 2 favorites. But after a few listens, Kanojo wa Wave really is getting stuck in my head now. It's kinda the same experience I had when I first listened to Bitter Chocolate from Queens Are Trumps album.
1. "Ai no Shoutai" Well done by Tomomi McCartney. This song deserves to be performed with all the backup up vocals and support musicians on stage.
2. "Yuugure, Tokeru" To me this one shows the evolution of SCANDAL. The sound, the layers. We need more Haruna compositions, she delivered again.
3. "Kanojo Wa Wave" I love the vibe, let's hit the dance floor!
These three could be interesting singles, I'm wondering how the music videos would look like.
Just want to mention the piano at the end of "Prism", sweet and lovely.

"Ai no Shoutai" Joe Cocker hit by a shrink ray. I can see her coming out as his guest at Woodstock with frizzy-permed hair and wearing a granny dress and sandals. Of course that would mean she'd be like 75 by now, so maybe not.
"Yuugure, Tokeru" Haunting. If ever an anime needs an ending theme, this is it.
- The lyrics are heart-breaking. The way Haru sings it adds up to the sadness, especially when you watch the MV too. The bassline is lovely and the guitar solo as well. I never expected that Tomo was the back up vocals on this one.
2. Ai no Shoutai
- This is a unique song and very Tomo-like. Hahah. I never knew I would like a Gospel song. What I love the most is the lyrics and the meaning behind it as stated in her lyric essay.
3. Yuugure, Tokeru
- I love the sad but hopeful vibes it gives me. For me, it's a perfect song to listen to when you're coming home from work.
These are my top 3 but I love the whole album. This is one of the albums which I listen to without skipping a song.
