I looked a bit and noticed there was no job topic so..

I am currently a commercial fisherman although I do construction as well(pipie fitter A class). If you have seen an episode of Swamp People that would be close. I deal mostly with fish and crawfish (crayfish). It is hard physically but I love it. I get to work for myself and stay away from the repititon of 9-5 jobs. The animals are nice as well.((not really) snakes, snapping turtles, alligators, and otters).

Yea, I don't believe it either, but I have one of the coolest jobs on, AND off the planet, working for SpaceX!

I work as a consumer loan underwriter for a credit union. Not the most exciting thing on the planet, but the people are nice. We're affiliated with a major university, so I also serve as the advisor for a variety of student organizations on campus, which is fun.

I'm currently a PhD student in a plant biology lab. Mostly I do biostatistics/informatics and programming (R, Python, JavaScript and the like no web stuff). In the summer though I get to go out and play in the dirt in my tomato fields ^^.

I don't think anyone should feel down about their job, usually the less glamorous the job the more crucial it is and makes all the rest of our jobs possible (as was said earlier).

That is total awesomesauce! You virtually never met anyone from the plant community outside of school or conferences. One of my best friends is finishing up his PhD in biochem at Wisconsin (but not plant -.-).

I might get the opportunity to go to the microMorph conference in Boston in the first of May if I can fend off another grad student and post-doc for the recommendation. My PI Neelima Sinha is on the panel for that and I'd like to meet Sally Assmann. Don't know if you're going to that.

And now I've derailed this topic, so maybe move to PM. Sorry, exciting to meet someone in your field who also likes Scandal (^^).

I work in Retail store doing nightshift, highlight of the job is when the company want rid of stuff nobody buying they drop the price down to next to nothing. Last Tuesday toothpaste that cost £6 drop to 50p and large bar of chocs from £3 to 20p.

It's nostalgic, I join this forum from my freshman college day, there are ups and downs. Graduated, had depression, jobless, working on blue-collar jobs (shipbuilding)

Now I am working as a Software Engineer on a small startup. and already married!. We never know what life is thrown at you so good luck to all of you guys

I started tutoring kids in Japanese and I'm really having a lot of fun doing it. It's actually always been a dream of mine to teach kids and especially Japanese. Never thought I'd come so far to become someone's tutor in this language. I'm really happy

Naaa, I am just old, but I am really glad I am retired now, I was a Supervisor at a bus depot but I still had to drive buses sometimes and loads of bus drivers caught the Coronavirus Sad

@Mitchan wow, that's awesome! I haven't taken any exam yet but I feel like I'm still at N5 level although I started seriously learning Japanese 2 years ago. LoL. I hope I can reach your level someday.
