lets chat about DJmax!!!

dunno whether i'm qualified for hardcore or not, but for Black Square i went as far as in the middle of Season 2. Then after a long time I saw Fever and played again, lost my thumb memory skill and never pick up DJ MAX again since then.

My first DJ MAX was clazziquai though, since it's the easiest

hahas same, was damn hardcored 2yrs ago, but recently pick it up again, and found out im slow and lose all the spd, den now im retraining again wif nightmare and all the 8B songs xD

yagi, juz get DJmaxP2 and u will be hell lord~

DJmax3 is juz another failure...

I just played the dj max portable in PSP..

i'm quit good in 4button mode, since i finished all of the missions and all the songs in that mode..
But i cant quite handle 5buttons or 6buttons mode.. i Dont know why but i can just get the hang of it hehe..

juz keep trying and u will get the hang of it~
i was a noob when i first started 6b, but it is actually easy~

and a piece of advice to u, skip 5b, and grind on 6b, and after that u will find 5b is easy with ur hardcore 6b skills~

hehe thnx for the advice.. the main problem is coping with 6b.. my fingers is somewhat used to 4b mode thats why i keep messing up in 6b..

well im starting to learn 6b now.. hehe

ermm, ur DJ max is PC or PSP???

actually, if u practice more, its will be easy and plus somemore you are a O2Jam player, it should be easy for you~

yea the notes reading skill is almost the same, but the hand-eye coordination is much different. O2Jam uses all your fingers, where DJMax only thumbs and the index finger at most for 8B.

black square was the hardest! but i manage to complete it 100%...whew...but now dj max 3 is quite challenging

i think dj max 3 is still quite ok since it has the remix thing but it sux for me since my analog button spoil

I agree with chesterljh, Black Square is the most difficult of them all, the judgment is really low compared to Portable 2 and 3. ;_; My accuracy is just.. meh.. wouldn't like to get low average discs for that, especially 60-70 ones. A sort of obsessive-compulsive disorder just activates within me when I play this game, sometimes I repeat the song if I don't get a Max Combo for it. I like it better if I don't make any mistakes. xD

I'm glad there is a thread for DJ Max on here. It was exactly what I was looking for at the moment when I was browsing the Games section of this forum. I'm a huge fan myself! I first played DJ Max on PSP, which was DJ Max Portable 2. When I reached something like level 60 plus or higher I think I decided that I should play DJ Max Portable 3. There was even a time when my PSP had 2 different versions of DJ Max downloaded on it. I've also tried DJ Max Black Square a bit, I was stoked because it had "Heart of Witch" on it - a song that I really like. Currently I am playing DJ Max Trilogy on PC, and oftentimes when I take a stroll at the mall I stop by the arcade to play DJ Max Technika, but I'm more used to the portable ones and the trilogy as well.

And hey, DJ Max Portable 3 is not that bad, the remix versions are really fun to play, I had laughs because it sometimes messes up the song. xD Although yeah.. there's not much difference with the songs compared to Portable 2.

Overall, what keeps me playing this game is that I am amazed with how it was developed since the songs on there are mostly original. The composers really gave their best with the music. Makou is one of the most remarkable composers for me, as for artists I appreciate Forte Escape and Ruby Tuesday's music, but I like them all. I even download the "long versions" of the songs and save them on my MP3. xD

I use to play it a lot before then I stopped cause the difficulty was getting complex for me and I wasn't focused well. Hopefully someday, I can go back and finish it. It's a fun game overall than playing Rockband or Guitar Hero.

I don't know if it is released now or is yet to be released but apparently, they're releasing DJMAX RESPECT and DJMAX Encore for the PS4 and 3DS respectively. Though, DJMAX Respect was set to be released this July 2017!
Although, the franchise isn't under Neowiz anymore but under another company. I read in an article before that Neowiz and/or Pentavision was sued by Konami because of game-style similarities with Beatmania.
