These are great! Gives good insight into how the band formed. As a guitar player, though not a great one, I can tell you that they achieved competence very fast!

We also have translations from 2009 onwards, since SH was established in 2009. Although I really wish I could translate all of their old blogs before that, anything before 2009 (except for this initial Livedoor blog) has been lost due to SCANDAL constantly moving blog sites and closing their past sites soon after moving to a new one.

Thanks for the quick response. Guess that makes sense, internet archaeology is difficult, and sometimes once it's gone, it's gone! Still I'm struck by the band's commitment to learn instruments from scratch. I think I read in one post that Haruna had trouble forming an "F" chord. That is indeed a difficult "open" chord to make, as it is right by the nut of the guitar. Getting a clean sound takes work.

And yes, a very impressive translation job, lot's of time and effort I'm sure!

I've had some limited success resurrecting old blog posts from Myspace. Do you have any interest TGE (translator supreme)? This is just for fun.

You're fine; the rule is that you need to write your own posts in English. It's perfectly okay to post something in another language if you provide a translation of it, or wish to get a translation of it.

I've also had some success in the past with digging up some of their old MySpace blogs but wasn't too interested due to many of them having broken images. But, I just found out how to dig up about 90 entries with mostly all of the images intact, so since it sounds like there's an interest here in reading translations of them, then I can try to do them.

That would be great if you have the time. There's about two weeks worth from 2007 from their Ameblo blog before MySpace, but yes, pic links are broken.
