Hello Cheng, welcome to Scandal Heaven.  Have fun in the forum.

I am a guitar-playing, short-haired metalhead living in Los Angeles (in fact I am attending three different metal shows in the next four days!).  Scandal's catalogue has a good variety of sounds and genres, and although I like it all I do prefer the harder-edged tunes.  Here are some of my recommendations to check out:

Queens Are Trumps (fyi, only downside -- Mami is not soloing in this one, it's a guest guitarist)

There are a lot more tunes not mentioned that are equally as good and pack a good punch (Doll, Suki Suki, Koshi Tantan, etc.).  One of the things I enjoy about Scandal is that the guitar, bass and drums are always powerful in the mix-- even on the poppier tunes.  And on a pure pop song like CUTE, Mami pulls off finger-tapping in her solo.  Overall there is no shortage of rock in their repertoire, IMO.

nice to meet you and thx for song recommendations  I discovered scandal when my band was choosing some songs to perform at a gig. so happened one of the choices was Shoujo S. After learning the song, decided to check out SCANDAL. They're pretty solid live and seem like nice folks too.
