Point for You Mami

Wow I am surprised somebody as well know as Mami uses Public Transport, some of the Indie idols use it but you would never catch AKB on Public Transport.

And I love the little details Mami adds to her blogs.

It's somehow a very interesting topic. I mean: famous artists using public transport. Maybe with glasses, hats and casual clothes they are impossible to recognize?

The face mask - an everyday item that a lot of people use in Japan.

Anyone can walk around incognito!

Kudos for Keanu Reeves - one still using metro - without any masks.

I can think of several reasons why underage idols dont use public transportation, also MAMI probably uses face masks on the trains but yeah you would think someone that has money would stop using the train, however they are so organized that it would be a shame not to use them honestly haha

And if one remembers their tweets/IGs of their trips to cities like Osaka/Hiroshima etc for their recent radio shows promoting the HW arena tour or the release of YELLOW, they simply travel on the shinkansen.

Oh no like I said the Indie idols all use Public Transport whatever age they are but their shows always finish by 9pm because of their age.
But of course nobody would think you strange for wearing a face mask in Japan and it is a good way to disguise your identity but face masks never protect idols from appearing in that popular scandal magazine ( not our Scandal ! ) Shukan Bunshun !

I'm just surprised she doesn't drive herself, she has a license but I'm not sure a car

I don't live in a big city so driving is definitely easy here, but maybe driving is more of a hassle there than just using public transport?

Yes you are quite right, London just like Tokyo has a very good Public Transport system but it is murder to drive in London and even if you can find a place to park it will cost you a fortune, it is far easier to jump on a bus or use the Underground.

The public transportation system in Japan has to be one of the best in the entire world, the trains are rarely ever late and there are insane amount of lines that can take you almost anywhere, driving would involve finding parking, paying for parking, etc. 

If you have to be somewhere fast and cant afford to be stopping at every station on a long journey I think driving would definitely be the way to go, the shinkansen is not too cheap if youre only traveling like 1 stop over
