so yesterday Jackie Chan <a href="http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/jackie-chan-announces-quitting-action-films-185159147.html">announced</a> that he is retiring from action movies saying, "I am not young any more. I am really, really tired." like many, he was my hero growing up; he was my superman. watching his moves i was always amazed at the things he did so i was extremely sad hearing this, but i understand that its probably time. (false alarm!)

so anyway, i just wanted to know what are your favorite Jackie Chan movies? any favorite fight scenes? maybe stunts?

one of my favorites is this fight from Legend of the Drunken Master.

Some remarkable things about Jackie chan:

Chan, who already willed half his fortune to charity, expressed Thursday that his son will get nothing after he passes away.

company will underwrite Chan's productions, in which he performs all his
own stunts"


Fantastic Actor and its sad to see him leave the action movie scene but it is true that he has done so many movies and so many great ones, I hope he still does some acting in some dramatic or comedy movies and I think he mentioned something along those lines too.

One of my favourite movies would have to be "Who Am I".
Watched it when I was really young, still loving it now.

Here is a list of my favourites:
1 - Who Am I
2 - Rush Hour 1/2/3
3 - Shanghai Noon/Knight
4 - The Medallion
5 - Shen Hua (don't know the English name for that one)
6 - Shinjuku Incident

Pretty sad that he's retiring from action movies, but one must still watch his health I guess.

Yesterday in my press conference in Cannes for Chinese 12 Zodiac I said that this movie was my last big action movie.


Today I was shocked when I woke up to read all the news coverage that I was retiring from doing Action movies.


I just want to let everyone know that I am not retiring from doing
action movies. What I meant to say is that I need to do less of the life
risking stunts on my movies. After all these years of doing so many
stunts and breaking so many bones, I need to take better care of my body
so I can keep working.


I will continue to do international action movies.

Ahhhh Well if old age is catching up with him then we cant do much about it but he was such a great actor made so much movies that were great Happy

Oooh Jackie Chan, he is truly one of a kind and no one can ever replace him. I seriously do not know which movie of his I saw first (Since my father was watching him ever since I was born) but I really do admire his uniqueness. Let's be honest, it's not every day you find an actor like Jackie Chan that can incorporate comedy and kung-fu action into one movie, nether less a scene in a movie. It always seem that almost all of his movies manage to make me laugh one way or another (except for the sad ones of course....). He also directs many of the action scenes in a majority of his movies and even directs some of them (he actually directed most of his American films). Jackie Chan 450165

When he announced he will stop doing life-risking stunts, to be honest, I was happy for him, (of course I was a little disappointed since I won't be able to see any new ones anymore) but Jackie Chan really does deserve taking a little break. Jackie Chan 438254

..I really can't remember the titles of his old movies..but I really do like Rush hour (1,2 & 3)..
but what I really love about jackie chan is that..his epic moves and skills when doing the stunts and the action scenes..and the humor when he's doing it..ahehehe..what I can remember is his drunken master movie..epic..just epic..
