as for the guitar, i bought a Fender American Special Stratocaster.

I already have the Mami strap and I really want to replicate Mamicaster too..

My only advice is to find a person who can paint, and paint WELL. ^^

To do this, the people you seek tend to be pro artists who do artwork on cars, bikes, helmets etc. and this will not be cheap.

Ask for their portfolio and see their previous works so that you will be reassured that the end product is as perfect as possible, especially you have an American strat which is not cheap (ie you don't want a bad job on an expensive guitar).

I had one done but on an entry level LTD ST-213HSS - if I knew the artist was THAT good I should've bought a Fender! Have a read - http://stomachofchaos.com/?p=8382

that's so great! how much did you spend on the paint job? is it very durable? like even if it gets wet with sweat? .love.

This is painting over the original black finish. Lacquered, and polished to a glass-like finish - all these not thick enough to alter the tone of the wood. So, it's durable of course. Including the fact that the artist was talented enough to just copy the artwork, all of these justify the price.

You may find someone who can do this cheaper and that's fair enough - but this was the only option available to me where I live.

Nope. USD600 JUST for the pro paint job. The company is in the UK albeit a few hundred miles away from where I live. It's not like I have to courier it to another continent. lol

Doesn't include the guitar, black scratchplate, black pickup covers etc etc.

I notice that you are in the Philippines. Surely there are pro paint shops in your country. I actual Googled "motorcycle custom paint shop manila philippines" and a few sites came up. The company I use in the UK also does artwork for motorbikes and helmets ( http://www.aerograffiti.co.uk/guitars_intro.html )
