This kind of intimate atmosphere is really nice. The addition of the orchestra is a very good idea as well, I really like the song.

Also the two new songs sound both as slick and catchy as what other people write for them and even more personal of course -- I t hink the girls want to be a band who write their own singles so it's time the label gives them that opportunity. Departure in particular is so chill, nuanced and sweet.

Now knowing that Mami wrote the lyrics AND composed the song, I'm starting really think they should have had more Mami in the music video xD

- I love the lyrics and they delivered the feeling of the song magnificently. This is exactly what I was feeling except I couldn't put it to words. I felt it was something more than just nostalgic but I didn't want to say bittersweet. It's like "learning from a mistake" kind of song and moving on? I think someone else said that too.
I'm not 100% sure what the lyrics are about though. It seems like she's reminiscing and realizes that she has been forgetting something, or that her view of something has changed. To me that sounds like she got scared to finally see the angry side of one of her friends and they 'had a fight'.
That's one of my takes on it. I've always thought that there was still something holding these four back (Of course, I don't doubt their relationship with each other). I don't know, but I'm really curious and I'd love for someone to analyze the song meaning a bit more aha Especially if you understand Japanese :p

Honestly, I think everyone needs to take that translation with a grain of salt. They're based on unofficial lyrics that most likely aren't 100% correct, and on top of that the English translation is very...Engrishy and not very well done, to be quite honest.

Yes, people can interpret it however they want for themselves, but a good interpretation should really come from a good translation. I'm just saying that the translation is not that well-translated, so maybe it's better to wait until the official lyrics are out so that you can generate a better interpretation.

Yeah it really has that Haruka feeling for me too. Loving the song more and more after each play.
@TGE : Yeah I got my answer after I wrote it when I saw the video and that they called it a "spring song". Was surprised when I got back and saw the change =O Shame, I liked Haru no Uta, would be simple and suits the song well too.
On a side note this is now the 5th time in a row that an "official" song/release/promo/cd has an english name : OVERDRIVE (with SCANDAL IN THE HOUSE in it too), STANDARD album, Runners High, Rainy and Departure.
Not that it means anything but it's interesting ^_^
Hoping to get more news soon about Rainy and Departure.

About the video itself, the more I watch it, the more I love it. All, from the light to the setting, from their outfits to the sextet, creates a warm and even cosy atmosphere. The song, being soft but catchy, fits perfectly this restful scenery.

Yep, HARU wore it for their shoot in the Dec. 2013 issue of KERA. I'm almost tempted to buy it for myself haha.

When I looked at Tomo's top, I wondered why it looked so familiar. Thanks for the info, guys.
@HaRuRiNaMaMiToMo (why is your user name so long...): I think this is just me, but I noticed that in the setup of the studio, there are also red things scattered everywhere (red SCANDAL towels, boxes with red labels, red backdrop on Rina's side, red big box and red old radio (?) behind Tomo, red globe (?) on a table just to mention a few, and the red skull behind Haru).
The red skull just stood out because, well, it's a skull. I wonder if the staff ran out of red things to place, or maybe it was already in the venue and they suddenly want to place the skull there.
@kaitanuva: I'd be very happy too! Hopefully they won't release these as part of an album that will be released much later this year (as what happened to Brand New Wave and Weather Report, but these new songs are better in my opinion, plus they are composed and written by the members themselves).

I also absolutely love how just as SCANDAL is really starting to pick up their stride in popularity with the Osaka-jo Hall, movie songs, etc., they're also starting to come really close to making alot of their songs entirely from scratch.

the song reminds me of their performance with 氣志團 singing the 'One night Carneval' song.srsly.
but so far with this new song seem so sentiment and gives nice feeling specially haru and timo convo. and the video, their looks specially timo(not bias) so frick'n adorable(gives me idea to make new fanart♥) and rina too with the glasses.
and i have not yet get over with their 'Rainy' pv song and was really surprise with this news.lol

It's pretty much sold out everywhere, including the site that I ordered it from. But it might be available on a few other sites if you search around.
